old guys wearing hustlin usa gear?

I must admit seeing an older guy wearing a straw hat, Hawaiian shirt, shorts with white socks and sandals sort of annoys me, but a Hustlin shirt ??? Gimme a break...I wear Hustlin shirts because I like them and to promote pool. I also wear Laker shirts and Oakland A's shirts and whatever I want to wear and get lots of compliments on my clothes. I do all my shopping in the young men's dept....Because this is how my mind thinks...By the way I'm 69 years old, look 55 and play pool like I'm 30.....
When Breaktime Billiards opens shortly in Modesto meet me down there and we will hit some together....Promise not to wear my Hustlin shirt and embarrass you....

Check out the hands

You got an "amen" from me there brother! :embarrassed2::D (actually I can remember things from when I was 50... My problem is more like "why did I get up and come in here? I know I wanted to do something in here! What the hell was it!!!????" :groucho:

On these occasions I have learned to look at my hands, if they are holding something I came in the room to put it up, if they are empty I came in the room to get something. After a time if I can't remember what that was I grab a pop and relax. :D

Non Pool Related

i don't have a clue??? man you can eat my ass. all the old people i run into always seem to think that young guys don't know what's up!

Ahhh.. the last ass that I ate brings fond memories and I doubt that yours is anything worth bragging about. Being an old guy I am pretty quick to pick up on stuff like that. Don't sweat the small stuff, like whatever anyone else wears and you too may make it to old guy status. Now let me see if I can remember where I put that shirt.

Attire

Lots of early 50's road players wear Hustlin type gear. For myself though, I got over faddish type things long ago, and go for more of a classic look.

tony hargin. founder of hustlin usa. local company sacramento ,ca. ive known tony for 11 years now. a very talented athlete. played in the NFL. cheifs, niners, and a few more i dont remember. in the late 1990s, tony was hanging around the pool hall, and if memory serves me correct, jersey john was the reason. they were friends. tony was not a player, just fell in love with pool and its characters. he has loved and supported our sport for over a decade, so.... i support him. i have bought several thousand dollars worth of his gear, sold it at my pool hall, and my kids took alot of that merchandise home LOL!! ive had people from every walk of life ask about his clothing. its a brand, not a label.
and to respond to this thread correctly, i hope im that cool when i get over 50!! im 35 and still feel like a kid, raising kids!! oh , by the way what do you think when an old guy rolls up next to you in a porshe, ferrarri, or anything cool? i know what i think, F@@K i want one!!

anyone else think it's strange to see old guys wearing hustlin usa gear. i saw an old guy at hard times sporting a hustlin usa t shirt and it really looked weird.

what do you guys think?

I think it is stupid to see young people wearing Hustlin' USA gear. I've never worn what was "cool" even when I was young because it was usually a badge of who sells out to look "in". I would hope somebody older would have matured enough not to wear it, but it doesn't look any worse on an older person than a younger person. Don't hate me for an honest opinion.
JMHO.

You're an Idiot!

Poolplayer2093,

I play at Hardtimes in Sacramento and I'm well over 50 and I wear Hustlin USA T-shirts and I love supporting Tony and the sport. I love pool and I like his designs.

Maybe you might want to walk up to me and say something stupid like that to my face.

My name is Jeff Elliott and you are a pussy! You are just a nit saying something as stupid as that.

In all my years going to a pool room, I have never and I
mean never heard any pool player comment on anyone's
clothes.

how old is old?

You think people over 50 are old?

LOL

If I was red repping these days I would just send them
to you for this,,,,LOL.

I haven't ever been able to figure out how old "old" is. One thing for sure, it is a lot older than me!

I was talking to a very sweet lady of 92 summers and she was explaining how she had settled into a routine where her weeks were all planned out. She had a day for house cleaning, a day for outdoor work, a day for shopping, a day for helping at the church. She also sat with "old people" two days a week!

Discretion being the better part of valor I didn't ask her how old old people were. It was obvious that she hadn't gotten there yet.

I am more offended when parents put their 5 yr old in sweat pants with "hot stuff" or "Juicy" across the butt.

People over 21 or who live on their own means should be allowed to dress as classy or tacky or tastefull or offensive as the law will allow.

If you make your own rules, just make your own way.

I get plenty of flack for wearing my Cue & Cushion shirts and hats where ever I go. I always get told I am too old for a baseball cap.

I agree, after all it was you young pups who invented hustling.

The guy's flanel shirt and earflap cap were probably in the laundry and he was forced to wear the hustler shirt. Next thing you know old guys will start wearing cowboy boots.

You old guys need to get back in your lime green shirts and pants with the white belt and shoes. Wait a minute, am I really 66 years old???? I've got to quit calling old guys "pops" when I get road rage!

"Eat my ass" ?????

You have a real talent for making yourself look bad. That is a very immature post.

Mature people have control of their emotions and don't make fools of themselves by losing control of their emotions and lashing out.

I've seen much better from you.

See.... you pissed the "old guys" off with this thread.... seeing us as different from you. We are all pretty much 25 year old guys trapped in 66 year old bodies. We're just guys. All of us... you, me, the others.... we're just guys.

I'm a chick. ;) btw... rep to you for your great points!

Man what the hell is wrong with you? i said i thought it looked strange. that's not even close to saying you looked stupid in it or anything like that. there was nothing derogatory about my comment at all.

i'm not a pussy or a nit and there's a chance you're going to run into me someday i do make my way down to hardtimes every now and again.

post a picture of yourself and i'll make it a point to come over and say something to you the next time i'm in sac

I'm 65...consider myself unique because I like T shirts with no advertising.
Anybody wants me to advertise for them, they'd better pay me, not the other way around.
