Shady shady shady.....
I still don't think Megan handled it correctly, but you are really coming off as a total POS.
First you lie to us about the guy being Megan's BF.
Now you will only say he was drunk, which never came up before.
We also hear that you weren't there...how do you know G was drunk?
Your father-in-law was, perhaps, wronged...a bit. This wasn't a huge malfeasance (look it up, your time will better spent learning a new word than pushing your case here).
Megan, if you are still reading, thank-you for being articulate enough to actually read your posts. Crap happens, you seem to be taking this with grace. I don't really agree with ever replaying a match, but understand that things happen and decisions need to be made. Keep running the tourneys, I expect you have more fans than detractors.

I expected as much from you . Do I follow Gatlin and Megan around ... No
When people say someone is seeing/dating someone do you question them ? I don't . I had 3 different people tell the exact same story and Gatlin was drunk. Did they deny this.. No
And if you read the thread you would see its been brought up over and over
POS??? Really
The old man was wronged and I told exactly what happened and that's the truth of it
Well, after saying my side of the facts and Megans also, it doesnt matter anymore. The damage is done! That'll be the last tournament and maybe the doors will close to the only poolhall left in Myrtle Beach. You did your job Petey. Sure, both parties were at fault, Megan for replaying the match and believing the old man was a 3 and not starting him as an unknown 5 and Petey for coming on here and blasting someone with lies and you weren't even there. Before the Calcutta, Megan had a players meeting stating up front that anyone cuaght manipulating there true handicap, would be forfeited or the match played over. He had the chance then to pull out and get a refund. As I cleary stated, there was wrong doing on both parts but Petey you come on here to hurt someone and a business but, Megan never did anything to hurt him. This could have been handled privatly. The only sore players in that poolhall was your buddies, everyone else (67 players) had a great time and complemented her on a great tournament.
You guys always come in there once a month and want everything for free, free food, drink and I hook you up best I can. You try and get the tournament money and split til the next one and never come in to support the hall. That's why its so hard to pay the bills and poolhalls are fading hard.
Well, if there is even anotjer tournament held after this I'm sure Megan has learned quite a bit from this and your comments. Sorry you guys got dragged into this whole thing. Ron

Hey, about 7 or 8 years ago, a lady I know from my area shut down Champions in Silver Sping and moved to Myrtle Beach. She said she was going to open a pool room. Her name is Joan. Has anybody run into a pool room owner named Joan?
I think she relocated to the town of Arc !!!

Thank you for waiting for both sides before jumping the gun. Classy!

Am I the only one that finds it odd that you continue to refer to YOUR FATHER IN-LAW as the "old man"? Sort of like you don't even know who he is. It's quite strange. Is that what you call him when you are gathered around the dinner table? "Hey old man, pass the gravy....and hurry up I don't want my turkey getting cold!"
I find it a bit odd.
After following this saga from the beginning, I may have been wrong about thinking he was trying to fly in under the radar. What I do think though, is the time to complain about how the TD handled this situation was when the decision was made. It doesn't sound like that's what happened. If he had won the rematch, I wonder if you would have been as outraged???
I sort of like the idea of a TD reserving the right to replay a match if a player is really under handicapped. A better idea though is to just forfeit someone that has been dishonest about his speed (not sure that's what happened here though). I guess the only situation I can envision where a replay would be a good idea would be if an honest player came in and after speaking with the TD, they came up with a handicap, then he played his best, and was clearly much better in comparison to the field than they originally thought. In this situation, I think a replay would be a possible solution. This would have to happen in the first couple of rounds though. I can't think of any other reason why a match would be replayed.
First, I'm happy I lived up to your expectations.
Second, I don't necessarily question whether people are sleeping together, but I also don't spread it around.
Reread my post, I didn't say you were a POS, I have no way of knowing, but your attitude in this thread is very POS-like.
You didn't tell it EXACTLY like it happened. You weren't there, so it is impossible to tell it EXACTLY like it happened. The very fact that you claim to be telling it EXACTLY like it happened makes me think of something I learned a long time ago: The least honest people are those who say they don't ever lie.

This thing flew past stupid a long time ago.
I'd like to start by stating how much the players in my area would welcome a hall that hosted a tournament like this with open arms. Every hall we had closed their doors in the last ten years.
When I used to play up near Chicago I'd only be able to make a couple times per year to each place. Since I'm not a regular at those places, and an unknown, I ALWAYS had to play at the highest handicap they had. I never placed because that was a little too high for my abilities. However, I understood why they did it. They don't know my game enough to rate me properly and want to protect their locals who keep them open from an outsider breezing in to steal the purse. If I could have made it to a few of their big tourneys each year they would have been able to rate me correctly.
Sure, I don't like the idea of replaying a match the next day but I don't hate anyone for doing what they thought was fair given their limited options the next day. I certainly wouldn't have started a thread like this. If it was handled with more class maybe something could have been worked out for the next one. Now the bridge has been burned and an endangered species known as a pool hall received bad publicity. Drop it man they didn't steal the US Open title from anyone, they just handled a difficult situation somewhat poorly. Sorry your father in law didn't snap off the tourney.
Can't believe after all the truth is out people still have the nerve to say she's "shady" or in the wrong.
Of COURSE you replay the match. If he was asked if he played in any leagues,
and conveniently 'forgot' he's a BCA 8, he flat out lied to get free games on the wire!
No way to prove it at this point, but if that's how it went down, giving him a second
chance way too generous, he should just be banned, and his opponents move up the ladder.
I don't understand this mindset... "oh well, too bad for the opponent, but the match was played, and the TD was too trusting"
...why is an already played match considered sacred and untouchable?
It's a local handicapped tournament, not the US Open.
Megan said they pulled last sessions stats to find his rating, petey said it was part of a session years ago... wouldn't the system show how many matches the FIL has played in the BCA?
