Here are some traditional stainless steel jointed Davis-Prince cues. These cues are made with the traditional "shorter" points that were being made in the days of the Bushkas. These cues all have stainless steel piloted joint with the 5/16-14 pins and compression fit. We built these cues to be very old school type cues. The 2 cues with the diamonds and dots have all ivory inlays and ferrules. The other cue has notched copper diamonds and trim rings with a smoothe black leather wrap and the clear plastic sleeve in the butt, also with ivory ferrules. Thanks for checking them out.

These are excellent! How much does something like the middle one go for? Feel free to message me if you do not want to post it here. Thanks.

Fantastic

Those are some nice cues. I love the looks. Would love to see one up close and personal. Thanks for sharing.

All are very nice, traditional cues. I love the butt of the middle cue. That's old school at its finest.

If I may... a compression fit in a piloted joint has the protruding part of the shaft end of the joint (call it the nipple) squeezed when the shaft is threaded into the butt end of the stainless steel (or brass) joint. A standard piloted joint has the nipple just slide inside of the butt end of the joint with little contact made.

When you thread the shaft onto a standard piloted joint, you just turn the shaft until the flat of the shaft contacts the flat of the butt. You feel little, if any, resistance while screwing the shaft onto the butt. With a compression fit, you will get resistance approximately 1/4 turn before the flat faces of the shaft and butt make contact. That it from the nipple being compressed by the inner opening of the butt section of the joint. That last 1/4 turn takes a good bit of effort to get the joint fully seated. The advantage of a compression joint, is more mating surfaces and a much tighter fit.

I am sure many could explain it far better than I am able to, but that is the gist of what the difference is between a standard and compression fitted piloted joint.

Great looking cues

Great looking cues guys, I'm sure that copper one with the window was quite a challenge. Keep up the good work...

There is no school like old school.

Yeah, long points are cool, but I also feel they often disturb the proportions of a cue. Longer isn't always better.

Darn nice cues!

Thanks for showing off!

All three are very impressive looking and I'm sure hitting old school cues. My favorite is the top one. Those veneers are just classic old school and one of my favorite combinations. Thanks for sharing these beauties!

Good shooting to you!

Kevin

All three of the cues are excellent old school samples. I would love to have any of them. I especially love the incorporation of the veneer colors in the joint stitch rings on all of the cues, and the added stitch rings in the butts of the two non-window cues. It's sometimes the very little things that make the big differences, and in my opinion, he nailed it with all three.

Chris

Thank you everyone for the great comments on the cues. The cue with the copper and the clear window was a bit of a challenge because it is the first cue with a clear window that we have done. Its also the first cue we have done with copper in it. I made a clear plastic sleeve to practice on before the final product was made. We appreciate all the kind words.

Oh man!

Love the "Old School" look, the window butt is very coool!

I'm in Indianapolis every week if you want to checkout the burl cue. Plus I have a few more Davis-Prince cues in my case also.
I can't say it enough how much I love these cues. You're just going to have to try one out for yourself and you'll see.

Wow, all very classy and top notch! That middle cue with the copper and clear window is a knockout to me. Thanks for sharing!
