Old Tad cue

I just won an ebay auction for an old window Tad cue and would like some feedback on how to proceed with the seller. 3 day auction
Take a look at completed items for #110215052261

I emailed the seller and told them that I would not send funds unless we speak or agree to clear up the following concerns from the listing:

no insurance with shipping
money order/cashier's check only
apparently no paypal??

I am going to request either COD from the post office, escrow, or paypal to protect myself, and will also want it insured, all of which I would pay for.

Thoughts????

You wont like it,,,,

You should have got this cleared up BEFORE the end of the auction. Use Proficient Billiards as escrow. You pay all escrow fees! ($40)

THAT IS THE ONLY WAY I WOULD DO THE DEAL!

You can do whatever you wish but you asked my opinion and my friend I have given it.

Good Luck,

Ken

Caution!!

Those photos looked very familiar
I think it was in a post here from titlistsucker's collection.
Try & use escrow
Good luck

I have to agree with all of the above pal. Be very careful with this one. Escrow is a must. Apologies if legit, just a few things that don't add up.

I agree, that is why I will not send funds unless my issue is cleared up. Thanks.

With his low feedback, none as a seller, and none as a buyer in over 5 years, I would not be buying this if all I had to do is pay $50 and sing a song. You would be very well advised to use escrow like Proficient Billiards.

You did a NO NO

yep if you had all those concerns you should not have bid untill all your concerns were addressed by the seller.

I liked that cue very much, but it looks like a scam and no Paypal to protect the buyer. His stated location is on my way to Vegas so I sent him a message asking of I could pick the cue up for cash and didn't answer back. I'd say proceed with caution but it sounds as if you already are.

Don't buy it. Take the negative feedback hit if it even comes. It is far better than getted suckered out of your cash.

Just an update on where I am with this guy. I emailed him three times since the auction ended with my phone number so we could iron out my concerns. I have a buddy in Long Beach that would be willing to go to pick up the cue and bring the cash. The guy never called me yet, only replying to my emails about a personal security concern, and doesn't want to meet anyone in person. I threw in the proficient billiards pictures comment in my last email. I told him that I wanted current pictures of the cue on a newspaper with the date showing. If this is legit, I will get pictures. I am quite sure at this point that he is currently having problems with either his computer or camera and will not be able to oblige my request.:) :) :)

I was just sent a second chance offer for this cue. I told him i would meet him at Tad's shop in Stanton with the money. I assume that no cue has ever shown up. Bob C.

This cue is here in Singapore.

It is a rare cue so I doubt that there is another one identical to it anywhere else in the world.

Identical right down to the fogging in the window????

I helped an old friend sell this cue to a local buyer. It is still here.

This is definitely a scam.

Fantastic work, AZers! Protecting our fellow players and collectors, this is what its all about. We are a world wide network and it is threads like this that show me its all paying off.

Scott.....sorry you are not getting your cue mate but I am relieved you haven't been relieved of cash!
