On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

U have onepkt action in beloit or chicago with me. We can play an all around. Bartable bigtable and onehole. 1000 a set on each.

This weekend in sterling there is a action pool tour event and also a east coast 9ball qualifier. The winner get entry into a 64 player tourney with first place $10, 000. Weekly tournament on Thursday also.

At Brickyard billiards.

Hank called me today and said Justin and Skylor will get into town on Thursday to get ready for Friday.

This is going to be a great match and too bad it couldn't be streamed. I wish I had the setup to do this but I don't otherwise it would be streamed.

I don't know who i like in this little matchup here.

I know Justin is and has been playing at a really high level since he was about 17 when i met him in St Louis. This was back when i was first trying to play a little back in 2008.
I liked Justin back then and was hoping he could keep his life on line dealing with this pool world of ours.

These 2 young guns can have a little fun traveling and playing but it only takes a few bad matchups or a couple of days of not playing up to speed and the trip is over.

It's smart by having a backer in these matchups. You have someone to put up the money with the hopes of getting half. And these kids don't have to worry about going busted.

Justin plays good enough where someone is going to have to get an awful lot of weight to get his cash and Skylor is not far behind but needs allot of seasoning.

He will get there in a real hurry but the only time to practice getting seasoned is when your in the frying pan and someone is trying to cook you.

I'm sticking around for this matchup and going to bet a little $500 to $1000 sweat bet to watch.

I might even get a game myself.

My game in Evensville didn't work out today. Mark says the air conditioner is out at the pool hall. I told him I'd play tomorrow but he didn't seem too excited about that.

Told me he'd see me at the US Open. He's going there with a friend.

So much with my $1000 earn as I learn one pocket match. I don't know if I could have won but I was going to take a swing at it. i liked my chances for sure.

Other than that it's business as usual. I'm down to 185lbs and starting to feel my energy up all day long. I was really tired after i was done playing but I held up good during the 5 hour and actually felt real good at the end.

Gene Jason Klatt will be there to watch a make a game

Do you want to play him ?

Just heard he's coming..............

Skylor isn't going to Indy.

It looks like everything is all set for 4:00 at the Brickyard.

Bartram was there hitting balls all night and Bergman was no where in sight.

I reall don't know who to bet on but it should be a great match with some good money wagered.

I got the room for 3 more days now so i can still do a few more lessons before i go.

I wish both of these warriors the best of luck...........

Bet on the guy who beat you. If you can't money playing him then make money on him.

we spoke on the phone about the ac problem then tried to agree on another room and we both heard bad things about it and agreed thats not the place to play...when the ac is fixed game on or if u leave before then we could play at the open..i went to practice last night and it was over 80 deg...

It's OVER 80 degrees EVERY day in the Philippines!!! Didn't seem to bother Efren, Carlo, Buste, etc.....

So what's the problem?

Playing a tough match raises my 'heat index' by 10 degrees it seems. I was in the 1/4 finals once and had to quit-It was only 78 in there but i was dying. I had to soak my shirt in cold water almost completely 2x -it was dry by 10 min after i quit.

Not to mention wherever you live, you get accustomed to-strange you never learned that.

There was a ton of action at the Brickyard today.

Not only did Justin bergman and Chris Bartram play the 10 ahead 10 for $5,000 but they played the 8 ball on the bar box 10 ahead until closing.

Bartram won the 10 ball in about 2 1/2 hours.

Bartram was ahead on the barbox all day even getting Justin to 6 but couldn't put the hammer down and run it up to 10 for the finish line.

Right at the end of the night, 2:30 AM Justin ran 3 racks to get the score back to zero.

They will start again at 4:00 PM sat.

I bet $1000 on Justin in the 10 ball and lost. I also bet 1100 on the 8 ball.

it looks like the 8 ball is anyones game.

I watched for about 2 hours at one point and didn't see a single safe that either of these guys played. it almost looked fishy. Like it didn't matter who won so they were just firing.

But I know the game is on the up and up.

I got action all day and won about $300 and I think Rhea won about $200. That covered about half of our loss in the 10 ball match.

If Justin wins tomorrow with the 8 ball I might just pull up and not bet on a third match if there is one.

I got Bobby woofing at me about playing so i said come on. Let's bet $500 or $1000.

He was steaming the day before about our match and how I wouldn't bet $250.

I like the game and will bet.

I don't know if this will happen tomorrow or not. there is all kinds of action everywhere and Bobby and myself can play anytime.

Plus tomorrow might not be too good for me. i played an awful lot and I won't know until I get up if I can function well with this shoulder.

Anyway the place was buzzing and the bets were flying.

This is a real poolroom with just about everything you could want if you are a pool player. The owners are great and the customers are great too.

Need to get to bed. I'm fried and so is Rhea.

Good night.......

Bart is a force right now........

The 10 ball on the 9 foot diamond was pretty impressive.

I don't think anyone could of held up to what you put on Justin.

That table isn't as tight as the one at Players in Columbus but it is still no picnic.

Bet the second day hoping the clutter on the bar table would slow you down maybe.

Again you played great.

Strong and steady.

Your playing the best pool of your life from what I can see.

Good Luck and I feel bad for anyone right at the moment that tries to take you down.

Especially at 10 ball on a diamond table.

Tough day at the Brickyard...........

Rhea had action as usual.

She played jesse and got the 7 ball.

After losing $900 for $300 a set she got a little bigger spot for $500.

The trouble was we lost all of the $900. She won the set for $500 but was getting staked by Tommy.

So we get half of that and come out about $650 loser for the day.

The good news is that I got on the table with her and showed her a whole bunch of situations that she should have played safe and how she should have done it.

Right after the fact is the best time to show these things. She really like what she saw and got some good insight.

We're going back down there tomorrow and play someone.

She will win tomorrow. I'm betting on it.

No action for me.

Heading out tomorrow.........

Might head to Memphis to see if I can get this Muecci Cue that plays better than any other I have ever tried.

Chris Lawson, one of Bob Muecci's right hand men set up Bob Dickerson in Indy with one that plays great. It's solid like a southwest. Or maybe I should say the Southwest plays solid like a Muecci.

I have my old Muecci that feels the same but it's got a normal shaft. i won a lot of tournys with this back in the 80's and 90's.

I've been using a low deflection shaft for about 2 years now and found that there are some things I have trouble doing with them. This Muecci that Chris gave Bob I guess was chris's brain child and he's got a winner for sure. It's low deflection but still has many of the qualities of a normal maple shaft when manuevering the cue ball around.

Need to check tomorrow If I should drive down there or not but If I can get the cue the drive will be worth it.

All I'd need to do is put it in some players hands and they would be sold in a minute. It just makes the shot feel so easy and effortless.

But the best part I liked was the ball went right in the middle of the hole.

Perfect Aim and a cue that plays like that will be pretty awesome.

Then it's off to Greensboro, NC to play in a qualifier this weekend and then to the US Open.

Sounds like a plan, Stan

One man a van and the road, and Oh ya a Girl...............

Call Hank and figure out a date. If you get the new cue you will have to spot me on the bar table.

Be safe in your travels.

Thanks there Mr Bobby.............

Be safe in your travels.

Just got into Greensboro and got a room. Need some sleep now.

Gonna play in a US Open Qualifier for a tuneup and hit a million balls this week and next.

If the body and shoulder hold up it should be fun.

Getting there slowly but surely.

Hated to leave Indy. Starting to feel like home.

UP UP and away.

Gateway Billiards is the poolhall with the qualifier this weekend.

I'm also going to work with the league players there and see if i can beef up some games.

One man a van and the road. and a girl.............

Getting everything ready to dig in for the week............

Each time I get to a new town I need to dig in. By this I get the room set up and get the clothes washed, block out the light from the window so we can sleep during the day.

The room we are in now is kind of tough to set up my cooking regiment with the healthy food that I eat. Especially the wall plugs not in the right place. I carry a few extension cords for that.

Rhea started her own thread and i think it will be pretty good. it will give readers her view of what she is going through on the road. She's learning a lot of things that most players never could imagine are roadblocks to being successful on the road.

I take many of these things for granted myself but I see so many players making such easy to fix mistakes while on the road or at tournaments.

When I'm someplace playing, teaching or whatever you know that I have done everything possible to be my best. Sometimes that isn't good enough or up to where I know I should be but it is the best I can do with this body and age.

Well it's off to the poolhall after I get my clothes dried.

One man a van and the road..

Anyone in the Greensboro area that is curious about Perfect Aim needs to stop in and take a look. I will be giving free mini lessons to show all the players how well this works.

715=563=8712 Give me a call.............Geno.......................
