Monica Webb and SVB both went 2 and out at th PI 10-ball Open in Manila. Big travel bill for not cashing. Johnnyt

Never know what Shane might have put up/taken in the gambling dept. while he was over there. He still may come home winner.

I thought I heard on the Earl/SVB stream that he was staying over there for about 3 weeks. I'm as hard of hearing as SVB, but I think that's what he said in the interview. Johnnyt

I remember SVB saying that as well, Johnny. I am sure he wanted to win the tournament, but there is a lot more money to be made gambling...

will be interesting to see how women from Europe finish in this tournament.

Jasmin is still right at the top, but the others have fell behind China, Korea, and really all the Asian countries. Their 10-ball breaks and kicking/safes are getting better each tournament it seems. It seems having a coach and their training regament is a major part of their improvment. Gov support don't hurt either. Johnnyt

The players that will play him over there are hard to fade for the cheese. Johnnyt

Johnny, I don't disagree with that fact whatsoever, but it's not like he had no intention of gambling because he was planning on staying there for quite a while.

I'm not saying he can't fade them, Shane has a lot of heart and wants to play the best. I'm saying whatever he wins gambling over there he'll earn. It will be a war. Johnnyt

Darn, my two picks to win the women's tournament (Sha Sha Liu and Wu Jing) are playing each other next round. Oh well, it's the winners side so I have both still in no matter who wins the match. Johnnyt

This is definitely one of the toughest fields. You can root for North Americans in the mens though...John Morra is on the one-loss side and Jason Klatt is still undefeated.

The girls event was really tough considering there were only 32 players. I noticed that Allison also went two and out. Tough tournament for a lot of people!

hi sara
how many matches has klatt won?

Hi cris,

He has won two matches so far and plays Darren Appleton next. Johnny Morra won his first and lost his second match. I can't remember who he plays.

When Jason was in NYC, we had a lesson. I think its helped his game and he should do well in this tournament. :)
