During the bca, i was hitting balls at the tiger booth with Dennis watching, when he asks me what cue do i play with, so i tell him tiger, so he asks for a go, he likes it that much, Tony gives him the same one to play with. Well the rest is history as they say.

Congrats to Dennis, and Tony for making such a great hitting cue. For anyone who wanted 2nd opinion on how the tiger cues play, then look no further than Dennis.

Someone gonna now say Dennis can win with any cue, so thought i'd say it before the trolls do  but still a great feat to achieve.

So Dennis Orcollo grabbed a cue off the rack and snapped off the US Open 10 ball??? Is he sponsered by Tiger now? That guy must be a machine, no wonder they call him Robocop.

Lee what's the difference in hit between the tiger and predator? how would you compare the tiger's ld shaft to the predator? which model you guys using?

I have hit with both quite a bit. I think the Tiger has a more solid hit with somewhat better feel. The Predator has lower deflection. I had the tiger guys tell me that the Tiger shaft had lower deflection. He had me do a test, and he was proven wrong lol. Its best to focus on the facts. If you want the LOWEST deflection, get a Predator Z2. If you want somewhat low deflection with a good solid feel, get the Tiger. If you want almost as low deflection as the Predator with the nice solid feel of the Tiger, get the OB Classic. I've used that one now for a while and it is in my opinion the best of both worlds. Plus, I like the OB people...they avoid comparisons with other brands, and don't claim the product can do something it doesn't do.

Lee why would someone be a troll to say that? I watched Dennis destroy the field a couple weeks ago down at hard times with whatever house cue he had at that time. I wouldn't bet against him with a mop handle with the wet mop head still hanging from then butt end

Some places must have great house cues.

The hit or feel of a cue is just a very individual thing, and because a particular player uses brand X doesn't mean it's better/best. To conclude that only means that when that player inevitably moves on to a different cue, then the old brand X must be inferior to the new brand. And that's not necessarily true either.

Thanks for the info, Lee. Was it a Pro X shaft or the Ultra LD or the original Ultra X.

The tiger shaft has a much more solid hit imo

What model tiger cue are you guys using? Talking about the butt obviously you guys are using the X-ultra shaft.

We are using the tc8 model with the x ultra shaft

Thanks.

Its the X ultra

FYI, Dennis started the week with a Schon he purchased in Vegas. He used it in a losing effort in the One Pocket, then he switched to the Tiger cue. We all know what happened next!

He used a Dishaw cue and a Jon Spitz cue at Hard Times in winning that event. He kept switching cues until he found one he liked (Tiger!). He must have tried every cue in my house with his favorites the Sigel cue and my Josey.

Dennis is a good guy and a wonderful professional pool player. He is always looking for the magic wand to improve his game. I had his cue in for repairs while he was at the tourney. Don't be surprised if he changes back. ;)

Will the Pool World dump their JUNKER, like Scrugg's, Balabushka's, Southwest's, etc., etc., etc., and switch to a TIGER CUE?

It is actually kind of interesting that at his elite level, Dennis is like the rest of us....searching for that perfect cue.
