During Amsterdam Billiards Grand Opening Party on January 29th, 2007 in New York City. Paul Sorvino banks the 7-Ball, makes the 8 using the bridge and finishes me with a long 9....

Thank you... :p

Thorsten

Great post. You have my respect.. of course you had it well before this but now.. after this humble post.... very cool.

Thanks for the video....Paul looked pretty surprised about the win. :) I'm guessing he was a very nice guy. How many more did you tank before upping the stakes??? Just kidding, of course.

KEWL!

I can see right now a remake of " The Hustler " starring Paul Sorvino :)

He actually has a nice stroke too, and seems to know his way around the pool table. His break was decent too, a bit soft, but he controlled the cb pretty good.

Thorsten.....see you at Turning Stone next month.... Paul must have been cheating.... ...lololol....:D ......mike

TAP TAP TAP. Still though, in a race to 9 I bet my beer money on you.

It is a pleasure to watch you play.

Thank you for posting that, sir. I will say I don't envy you playing while wearing a tie. That would drive me nuts!

Thorsten: Thanks for posting here at AZB. I really appreciated watching you play at the DCC. Your poise at the table is remarkable. Your high run in 14.1 is 495, right? I hope you can say you have that run on video!

Paul is a very accomplished actor...ever hear of Goodfellas? :)

Please be quiet Mr. Silver Wombat...PLEASE. There is no mistaking Thorsten...he has a distinctively */ahem/* fit body.

Very cool, nice to see pros and actors playing pool in a casual setting like this one. Out having a good time just like most of us. Thanks for the post.:D

Todd

Sorvino's an actor. So it must have been special effects. Yeah! Special effects. :D

I'm not an actor and I nearly beat Mika Immonen in a game of 9-ball once. :P Though I know he wasn't even half trying at the time...

I didn't think Thorsten is from Bavaria but could be wrong. To a German, that's maybe like calling a Midwesterner a Texan but it has a decent ring to it.

Got to agree. Very good post, Thorsten. Got to figure if Paul should get 7 on the wire to 10, his daughter, Mira, might not need but 5. Watch her play when you get a chance. You'll be amazed.

I don't think she'll be joining the WPBA anytime soon...she makes a few bucks acting. But I have heard she shoots as good as if not better than her dad. Johnnyt

PS. Anyone know of a video of her shooting. She's someone you could build a pool movie around.
