According to the National Sporting Goods Association 24 million people played pool in the US in 2010 which was a 14.8% increase. In Asia and Europe the sport is growing even more rapidly. Currently no one owns the sport in the US... With that many participants Pepsi could position itself to own it with very little investment.... Do the Dew commercials using Florian ''Venom'' Kohler could actually be incredible since much of the general public has never heard of or seen him... He is a youtube phenom.... The above is not in any way a suggestion... Only an observation by a consumer from the Birthplace of the dew......"

I would like to thank Pepsi for their support of the US Open Nine Ball Tournament. This is a long running event with widespread interest. Serious competitors for the most part drink little or no alcohol when competing so a soft drink is an excellent fit for sponsorship. Of course with the long hours and multiple days of competition energy drinks are a natural fit too.
Your efforts are much appreciated and will not be forgotten.

I agree! I just contacted them and thanked them profusely for their support! I strongly suggest everyone in this forum do the same. I'm sure some of you have read the thread by
JAM regarding "a simple thank you note". A few kind words can go a long way in garnering further support from one of the biggest advertisers in the US. I can think of no better
company in the world to get behind Pool! This could be our one really good chance to drag pool out of the gutter and put it in the public eye! Can you imagine if Pepsi or
Mountain Dew were to throw a bunch of support behind pro pool? Sponsor a tour? We're a long way from that now, but if everyone got off their duffs and let Pepsi know how
much they appreciate their support, you just never know! This is really the most promising news I've heard in 30 years! Let's not drop the ball on our part!
