I can just see it now - Efren is down getting ready to fire in the money ball to win the U.S. Open. The money ball is colored to match the Pepsi Logo. He pockets the ball and cans and bottles of Pepsi are opened up throughout the auditorium in celebration :)

Just sent my message to Pepsi. Can't wait to see this partnership continue for a long while. I'm glad to see a beverage that isn't alcoholic in nature with such a big brand name as Pepsi affiliate themselves with the pool industry. This partnership makes pool more accessible to families and young people.

Make sure to spread the word to your local pool rooms and try and lobby for them to sell pepsi products within their business.

Thanks for the link and suggestion. I sent them a comment thanking them for their sponsorship and they now have a new customer, or at least a partial new customer since I am a longtime Diet Coke lover. But I will no longer order iced tea because they are a Pepsi restaurant, I will order Diet Pepsi now.

This is awesome. I posted my feedback on the Pepsi site saying how much I appreciate what they are doing. To be honest, I really only drink Fresca (a Coke product). I drink a LOT of it. I've been wanting to cut it out though because I have heard some bad things about aspartame and other artifical sweeteners. Pepsi has come out with Sierra Mist Natural. It is a great alternative. It is still too sweet for me, they could put 1/2 as much sugar in and I'd like it. But anyway, I will try hard to support Pepsi with my soda purchases.

IMO, if you want to send a thank you to someone who will notice, send it to the PepsiCo bottler in the area where the US Open is held. That is much more likely to be noticed, appreciated, and potentially have some effect, down the road, to PepsiCo HQ.

I just sent my thank you letter to Pepsi.

Like others have said, right now, its not about the level of sponsorship, but the show of support. This could be a trial run of sorts.

So a word to the wise (professional pool players), I don't want to see any of you drinking Coke products at big tournaments.
 
My thanks went out also. I'm sure whoever decided to back the event is a happy camper now, with all the responses.

I too have sent email thanking Pepsi for supporting our sport. 64 years young and drink Pepsi all my life. Dont really like Coke at all.
