I normally don't post heresays but I heard this one from two different people.

This past weekend at the Great Southern Billiard Tour tournament/ King Street Billiards in Fayetteville, NC while I was doing commentary on one of the matches, another historic match was taking place, unfortunately out of view and unfilmed. Tony Chohan was playing Leonardo Andam and Tony reportedly had four, yes, I said 4 games in which he went EIGHT AND OUT. I heard this from two different people so while I didn't see it myself, there has to be something to this.

Tony needs honorable mention for this INCREDIBLE feat against another world class player.

The only other match in my memory against two top players in one pocket that I can think of, that mirror this accomplishment was the one with Larry Nevel and Efren Reyes. Race to 5. Efren wins and makes 40 balls doing so and Larry, if you count his scratches was in the minus column in total ball count. Larry is a great player and while he made a few balls during the five games, he also scratched several times because Efren kept leaving him in the stack and in other unenviable spots.

If anyone else witnessed this or can shed more light on Tony's incredible match I would love to hear any additional details.

Wow! That was an amazing match. And maybe it could have been on tape if you hadn't been nodding out on that chair all day.

Everytime they showed you it looking like you were ready to fall off that chair. One time we thought you did fall off.

All kidding aside you guys did a fine job.

Kinda sounds like the finals of the DCC 1 pocket, where Efren steamrolls Jason Miller 3-0.

He shoots great, banks like Houdini, and moves like a fox. If he gets the balls open, he can and will run out. Most importantly, he makes few (if any) unforced errors and doesn't dog it either. I doubt you will find ANYONE looking to play him some One Hole.

That was on Sunday, the final day, and I did nod out a couple of times. I did my best to stay awake, but six straight 14 hour days got the best of me. I stayed close to the matches so that if they needed me I was there. I'm used to taking a nap every day, and I didn't have that luxury last week.

Charlie Bryant played excellent pool and was also very slow. Besides that he went deep in both divisions. We had to hold up matches until he finished playing a match, so he could play the next one in the other division. It made Sunday an extra long day, even though we began with only eight players in the One Pocket and four in the Ten Ball.

dont forget Sylver he was playing JJ heads up(i think) for $200 a game at cue-masters during the us open, he played parica in h-wood too(remember jay). he is the real deal too and a cool guy too!

And that's only if they play on a Diamond. On a Gold Crown, it becomes pick 'em.

Justin, Should be a great match, I'll go for the 3 day deal. Do you know if it will be played on a Diamond or a Crown ? As long as they are tight pockets, I wonder why Jay thinks it will make a significant difference.
Allthough if anyone would know, it would be him. To my very few past victims out there, I will take Gabe even up for a few sweat bets.($50-100)

I'm picking Gabe to win 25-23

It looks like 25-23 is an impossible outcome.

If it's really three races like the poster says (to 8, to 8 and to 9), then one player would have to come out ahead all three days to get 25 games and the other player would have to lose by at least one game each day, so he couldn't get more than 22 games.

Most likely neither player will get 25 games.

I wonder how they'll decide the overall winner. Most games? Two out of three races? If it's races the overall winner could have fewer games than the loser!
