pickle in a pickle

The Pickle in the Pickle is, sad to say, our own Bobby Pickle.

Doesn't appear kosher, but, time will tell.

He's out on bond as i type.

Well, at least his bond of $75,000 is $25,000 less than the other 2 guys and his charges don't include the gun charge or impersonating a police officer like the other 2 guys.

And just the week before he placed in a tourney.

http://poolcueguru.blogspot.com/2010/08/winners-circle-pool-tournament-winners_20.html

He was lucky to get bailed out.

Yeah, he beat me to get to the finals of the winner bracket.:embarrassed2:

I like Bobby a lot and I wish he hadn't gotten into this crap. I talked to him quite a bit over that weekend and he was going through some personal things that may have gotten the better of him.

I have always called Bobby my buddy and I still will no matter how this turns out. He made a very poor decision that is probably going to cost him quite a bit of time to think about it.

It never ceases to amaze me how someone in jail for robbery can come up with the bail.

Yeah....me too! You'd think they wouldn't even bother with bail when the usual excuse is "I needed the money".

Good catch.

The bond would be around $7,500, but I know what you mean, if you've got access to $7.5K how bad off can you be that you're going down this road? I'm surprised the bond was so low on charges of "especially aggravated robbery" and "especially aggravated kidnapping", and in particular on someone with priors. If he's on two strikes and up against these serious charges it's a little surprising they let him out at all. You would think the prosecutor would argue against bail.

just another sad story on a different day...
IMHO...Most home invasions performed by peeps claiming to be law enforcement involve drugs...well known locations such as dealers or wholesalers are always being hit. When I lived down in Miami in the early 90s, it was a very common occurrence, and from what I hear, the same applies along the Southern Border now as well...
Regardless of whether or not he was just a driver or a full on gun toting wannabe...he was involved in a PREDATORY crime which is as bad as it gets, again IMHO...He knew what was going to happen...it wasn't like...pull over right now and two guys jumped out of the car without him being fully aware of what was happening...that's just BS...if that had been the case and he'd given a hoot, all he had to do was hit the gas pedal...
He'd get no mercy from me...I have a no tolerance policy for characters of this nature...
Good ridence...

Agree. Ummm mind answering a question doc? Has Marvin The Martian found his Illudium Q-36 Space Modulator yet?

Always liked that character.

A very reliable source told me today that this is indeed Bobby Pickle and he is out on bond. Not sure who put up the bail money for him but I have a pretty good guess.

What is the scoop on the victim, Kashola guy?
Was he a drug dealer, Pool player/gambler or just some rich guy they were ripping off?
Any Locals of the Area know if this incident is pool related?
Still wondering?
I mean $325, a watch, a guitar and some pill bottles does not seam like much of a target for a home invasion robery.
I think Bobbie is wise enough to pick a more lucrative target.

They must not have found the secret hiding place, where all the money and drugs were tucked away:D:D:D

Some of the reported facts so far: They said they were police, they ziptied the victims, they ransacked the place and they got caught by the police with the stolen property and the handguns used in the robbery. I am sure their court appointed lawyer is telling them they have a very good case.

If by 'them', you mean the prosecuting att'y, you are right!

Not to condone by any stretch what Bobby did was okay in any way, it seems unlikely to me that three guys would drive more than an hour or so away to one of the poorest sh--hole towns in the country to rob a total "stranger" for the money when there are far more lucrative targets all over that area.

If I had to guess, this was a stupid debt collection of some type gone way wrong, but we'll see.

(edit - Obviously a bad guess - see next post)

i can tell you for a fact it is the same bobby pickle the pool player.i have known booby for 30 years and like him and respect his game but i do not trust him for one minute.i will say this drugs will make you do stupid things and the guy that was robbed has and carries more cash in his pocket than anyone i know and theres the reason they drove 25 miles to make a score but really bothers me is that people are wishing him well for this home invasion and kidnapping.whats wrong with this picture?if it was a stranger and you guys didnt know him and this happened you would say i hope they get as much time as possible.if this happened to you or yourfamily would you still say oh bobby iam sorry and i hope things work out? no you wouldnt!!! i know bad things happen to good people but when problems and mistakes keep happening and popping up when do you say its the persons fault? like i said before i like bobby and he is good for action and pool but with him being in jail off and on the last few years maybe a stretch in the pen will wake him up. and your right it isnt hard to figure out who bonded him ok. the same person as usual.iam sorry that this actually happened but think of the family that this was done to.if you have ever been robbed at gun point you know what i mean

I agree, and would probably even agree more if you used the space bar after every sentence.:grin-square:

You seem to know the victim, Kashola, Is he a gambler/poolplayer?
A backer/stakehorse? Is he a drug dealer?
Where does all the cash he supposedly carries come from.
