pickle in a pickle

What is the scoop on the victim, Kashola guy?
Was he a drug dealer, Pool player/gambler or just some rich guy they were ripping off?
Any Locals of the Area know if this incident is pool related?
All of this same old drug debating is making this thread quite NPR. :boring:

Don't know. He doesn't sound like a drug dealer or anything. Probably just some guy they targeted at a drugstore and followed home.

There are lots of reasons why a man might be arrested for breaking into someone else's house other than what is in the police report. I'm not saying that is the case but things like this happen all over America, every single day and sometimes things aren't what they seem to be.

All of the facts are not known at this time and there may be more to this story. Imagine what you would do if a person was trying to sell your child drugs. This is just one of many possibilities. I'm sure that could be a stretch but I'm willing to wait to see how all of this shakes out.

Bobby has not had his day in court and you never know about these things. I prefer to just let justice handle this case and I'll just wait until I hear all of the facts before "convicting" or passing judgment on what he has done, may have done or will do in the future.

And in the spirit of what JoeyA has said above, I will ammend my previous statement that Mr. Pickle should be sent away for a very long time only if he is, in fact, found guilty of this home invasion armed robbery.

I, too, certainly agree with innocent until proven guilty.

Best,
Brian kc

Slow news day

We still don't know 100% for certain that it's the same B.P. or even if he's guilty, but since its a slow news day on the subject, here's a response I receieved from a friend who lives in Tullahoma with his take on the incident. He is not a pool player at all, and has no idea who BP is/was and doesn't know anything about the people involved. This has nothing at all to do with guilt or innocence, just backround on the location of the incident.

Yeah, heard about it. It happened at Lakewood Park. Lemme tellya bout that place. 20 some years ago a dude came into Manchester, and bought some land in Beech Grove stoooopid cheap. Like $30/acre. He plotted the place out and sold lots. He built a gate (it was supposed to be a gated retirement community), and dug a giant hole for a "beautiful lake" in the middle. Then after he sold the lots, and took gobs of money for home building, he took off, never to be seen again. Today, all the roads in the 'community' are gravel, and the folks who bought the lots, sold them for peanuts after they got ripped off. Only 1/2 the place even has electricity or plumbing. Guess what giant hole the sewage goes into? Smells great there in the summer. It is all trailers and retired alchoholics, or people on disability, working for cash and soaking the system. There is a small grocery and 2 bars in the community.

If this guy even KNEW about this place, he was pretty f---ing scummy......Lakewood Park is in Beech Grove which literally is in the middle of nowhere. B.G. has a population of about 1500. Hardly a even a fork in the road.

Some of the reported facts so far: They said they were police, they ziptied the victims, they ransacked the place and they got caught by the police with the stolen property and the handguns used in the robbery. I am sure their court appointed lawyer is telling them they have a very good case.

You forgot - they were seen in a white Taurus, one of the suspects owns a white Taurus and, oh yeah, they were pulled over in a white Taurus. And Bobby was seen by a friend here, driving a white Taurus. Not looking too good.

Innocent!

Chris

Popular car popular color especially aqmong fleet leased vehicles which are sold after they reach x amount of miles. A white taurus is a strong coincidence, which by itself isn't enough to convict a man. Now if the proceeds of the crime were found in the car they have a big problem...

It was, and all three of the men were too as they were fleeing the scene and arrested...in a white Taurus. The stolen stuff was in the car.

The only thing missing in this case is a TAR webcast of the whole incident and us in the chatroom betting on it.

I smell a plea bargain.

There is more than one Robert Pickle in TN believe it or not. Now if the pool player guy is Robert Kerry Pickle, at the address listed on the arrest report, then unfortunately, we are talking about the same guy. Until then, we're not 100%

By popular demand....

Well.... that explains a lot! He was obviously jarred at the time!

They ALL look guilty to me!

Who is the pedophile?

I believe he is talking about Howard Vickery.

I think it is " TICKLE ME PICKLE "

The bad thing is a pool player posted on here he saw Bobby driving a white Taurus recently, so it probably is him unfortunately...

This is the part that puzzles me, with as many people on this board that know the pool playing Bobby Pickle, I cannot believe we still do not know if this is him or someone else. I am hoping someone else. If it is him, it certainly makes that last arrest look less "innocent".

Likewise, if it wasn't the pool player, I'm pretty sure someone would have said something by now.

What exactly happened in his last arrest? Was it a drug thing?

In my conversations with him it doesn't seem to fit that he would do this. He was always one of my favorites to watch in a game, always polite, courteous and soft spoken.

I hope it turns out to be someone else but it's not looking good. If it's not him then I would think someone on here would have spoken to him by now and relayed some kind of message to us.

Yeah, the thing too is that there really isn't any super urgent need to make any decision based on what we know right now. The guy has already had his problems and getting this wrong would just add insult to injury. Time will tell.

I suppose a mug shot will get released at some point soon anyways.

Sad story either way.

He used someone's room at a tournament, I think the DCC, to get a little rest and the cops busted in and found drugs and arrested him. Many were saying it was a set up. If I recall correctly he plea bargained an did time, something like a year. There is a thread here with all the details.

Wasn't at the Derby....it was in Memphis.

I personally struggled with Bobby's presumed innocence in the last issue, with him taking the plea deal. I will not pass judgement on Bobby, I just find it hard to believe if someone is innocent that they would take a jail sentence. Luckily, I have not experience with our courts and a plea bargain may sometimes be the best course of action. I pray the heavens that I personally am never faced with that decision and I wish Bobby nothing but the best.
