who has them, i'll make a deal,

thanks to all for the kind words and yeah I have been lucky, there isnt a day goes by I dont count my lucky stars so to speak, i never take anything for granted, i'm just a regular guy, hell i dont know how to tie a neck-tie,

i NEED to build a data base for my cues, I kinda know what I paid for all of them, I have a couple Gus cues I dont have exact numbers on, some cues I have had for so many years they cost me nothing so I'm going to build 2 colums price paid and current value, for me its not about the $$$, cues to me is where the $$$ stops or ends, i'll explain, when I buy a watch(s) I do it with the market in mind and dont buy on emotion I buy with profit in mind on cues I dont care about future value cause they aint ever gonna get sold, I wont pay over market value for a cue 90% of the time, but once I buy it its dead $$$ cause it aint geting sold. i'm 40 years old so the "tribute cue" is gonna be off the market for along time, unless Barry calls me and wants it for his family then I would giuve it to him for free, nobody should own that cue-it just happens to be in my vault.

I have and do buy cues to buy and sell from time to time so I have to buy right but I will not under any circumstance sell any of my Szams ever. Even if I never hit another ball, I let my friends use them when thehy come over to play, if they are players. my cues never get dusty...

a couple other pics didnt make it , i'll email them to someone tomarrow, i sincerly thank Russ for posting them, i'm just to lame to remember how to post pics.

I play with the 5th cue from the right, its 58.25" long 13mm shafts I dont know the weight but its gotta be 19.5-19.7oz.

I was hesitant to post the pics but I said once here on AZ that there is no reason to hide beatiful works of art. I'm not the owner, sure they are in my possition but far as I'm concerned they belong to Barry Szam, he made them. Especially the tribute cue-its pricless, he built it with his heart and love for his dad, how can that be my cue? Its not.

I'm soooo lucky to be inposession of this collection, I just wanted to share it, The pics of the butts didnt make it, if someone is kind enough to PM me a email addy I'll send them over to post, Russ did a reat job and I dont want to have him do to much.

I hope everyone enjoys them and I'll answere any questions anyone might have. Seeing them here even amazes me, they will never be sold-not one of them. I believe there are 19 in the pic, I have a GSB(a Gus & Barry) cue, I thought it would be more approiate to post it with the Gus collection sometime. Im a humble guy who still cant believe i'm holding these cues. Its an honor. Please enjoy...

Happy holidays.

PS I dont have a favorite, except the Tribute Cue becaue of the emotion Barry put into it honoring his dad. Other than that I love them all the same-$$$ has nothing to do with this.

Eric:

I'm pleased to see you display your Szam cues and hear that you are playing with the one that I placed in your very impressive collection. Barry informs me that it is your favorite Szam playing cue. I look forward to meeting you face to face at the DCC in less than two weeks. Happy Holidays!!!

BTW, shortly I will be taking possession of perhaps the biggest Barry four point cue ever made. Of course, I'll give you first crack at it.

Just want you to know that all Fatboy says is on the square. I've been at his pad a few times, and there's always cues spread all around. Usually they are Szambotis, but he has other nice cues as well. He's always coming up with something new to show me.

I'd love to see him post photos of his Gus's. That's what he calls them. Gus's! He has a nice collection of them as well.

By the way, I've hit balls with almost all these cues. THEY ALL PLAY GOOD! One thing about a Szamboti, they are playing cues first. I LOVE the way the old Gus's hit. Super sweet hitting cues, all of them!

You know Fatboy, Barry looks a little like your missing brother. Now I know why you like him so much. Last time I saw him, he was a tad smaller. :)

szamboti's

eric, forgot to mention where booth # 24 in edinbrough room is. at the derby city classic. stop by. don, aka sureman cues
