So Ive been gambling regularly with someone you I believe is on meth. Lots of going outside for a minute and bloodshot eyes followed by excellent shot making and position play. How long can they keep this up, how long before they crash. The wonderful thing about gambling is that you are more in control of what when and how you bet. I trying to strategically anticipate when this guy will go on a crash.

Trouble on the Way

Nothing good is going to come out of it, promise. I would think about the kind of people I keep company with first.

Days and days.

Are you asking us to to try and predict how long a hit of meth lasts?

From experience through playing a guy who used it the high can last about 30 minutes before they need to do another hit. They can literally stay high as long as the drugs don't run out.

Personally I find it tough to play against players who are juiced up. They seem to be able to do way more than they should be able to and it's disconcerting. But short of a blood test I have no way to really know and so I have to take it as it comes and try to outrun the nuts.

From what I gather it's more like 5-6 hours.. If their clinching their jaw and aren't drinking and won't stfu there's a good chance that's what's up

Honestly I wouldn't worry about him " crashing ", I'd be only worried about playing him directly after him hitting a lick as opposed to cheap shotting you. Think about it, I he has any kinda money worth winning you will never see him come down or crash, but if you do happen to see him come down he doesn't have any money anyway.

Depends on how much you are talking, how good it is and how often.

I have seen people do runners where they don't sleep 3 weeks.
I think billiard digest did a study and pool came up as the # 1 non Olympic sport for drug and alcohol abuse.

Sixty to sixty five % of pool players abuse drugs and alcohol.

Both Buddy and Grady told me that if you bet high back in the 70's and 80's,that you probably lost if you WEREN'T on something because you can bet your ASS your opponent was.

The best tactic they said is to play slower than your normal pace a little, because if you're at the table the "high" gets to them and they get impatient and fidgety.

Both of them also said that there almost wasn't a better feeling than beating a guy that was jacked up on whatever BUT things worked out to where their high wasn't jiving with their level of play right yet so you avoid getting their best gear and leaving them high as a bat's ass, itching to play, but flat busted all at the same time.

If it were me,I'd try to avoid playing a guy that made it obvious he was geeked up. I once saw a guy on coke run out an 8-ahead in 12 minutes like it was NOTHING . Tommy D.

Its petty cash, not hundreds of dollars or I would make him post. Im pretty sure he would pay because he has been beaten by someone else and paid. Plus if he didnt the word would get out and he'd loose all his action. Even on his high we're not to far off. Playing $5 9 ball it takes him 4 hrs to beat me out of 40.

Im going to wait until Ive seen him tweeking two nights in a row playing other people. Then ask to play on the third night. After he goes outside to "make a phone call" Im going to say I have to leave for something and Ill be right back. I show again in a couple of hours and try the slow play tactic. Maybe that will be enough to throw him off.

Or you could just try to out play him...... just a thought....... :yikes::scratchhead::slap::thumbup:
