Jean's comeback thread

Please return and play Jean. You were the best woman player at the time and we would all love to see come out of retirement.I would love to see you play Kelly Fisher 10 ball on TAR.That match would generate some great things for pool across the board.Especially renewed interest generated for the women's pro tour if you decided to play again..

Having grown up with Bonnie & Corine Hoffman, we all held Jean in the highest respect.

I would love to see her come back and mop the floor with wpba top players.

How about a challenge match between Jean and Jasmin Ouschan.
I'd give my right pinky for a livestream.

Would LOVE to see Jean playing again.

Talent - heart - fearlessness - that's a tough combo to beat

Come back

It would be great to see her come back. Now that would help the Sport of Pool. I bet the News would jump on that.

I NEVER knew she has a sister!....was her name Louella? I couldn't tell.

even at that age....those girls had game!

Jean...we all still love your game! you are not forgotten......come on back and show the world what you know!

I DON' T WANT TO HEAR WHY OR DETAILS OF THE PAST. THAT'S OVER AND IT IS HISTORY NOW. I WANT EVERYONE TO BEG AND PLEAD HER TO COME BACK AND PLAY AGAIN. IF THEY DID A THREAD ON THE GREATEST WOMAN PLAYER OF ALL TIME HER NAME WOULD LIGHT UP THE BOARD.
SO PLEASE HELP AND SAY HOW MUCH WE THE PEOPLE OF POOL NEED TO SEE HER PLAY AGAIN.COME ON GET ON BOARD !!!! BE A PART OF THIS MOVEMENT THAT COULD BE HISTORY IN THE MAKING !!!POST NOW!!!!

What's in it for her?

Next time you see Dennis Hatch, ask him about losing to Bonnie 11 to 2 in a tournament. She could really play.

Try this one. http://www.charlierose.com/guest/view/3082 Go to about 3:15. The Miz, Mike Siegel, Jean and Fran Crimi. Listen to Miz talk about Jean. "Give her 30 days and she'll beat anybody"

Always wanted to see her play. One of the greatest disappointments for me.

Sorry someone else beat me to the video.

What other professional athletes that retired in the 1980's would you like to have return to competition at the highest level? Perhaps you'd like to see a) Phil Esposito play NHL hockey again, b) Joe Theisman play quarterback for the Redskins again, c) Julius "Dr. J" Erving play for the Sixers again, or d) Reggie Jackson returning to the Yankees.

Can you even name an athlete in any sport that ever returned from a twenty year retirmenet?

Remember, BCA Hall of Famers were guaranteed $30,000 for appearing in the IPT King of the Hill event in 2005. That wasn't enough to get Jean to dust off her cue and try to get back to her highest level.

Jean made her decision long ago. Live with it.

I'd really like to see some videos of her play. anyone know where i can find some videos? from what i hear she was a champion that the pool world wouldn't give a chance. she quit because she wasn't allowed to play with the men... BS imo

There's much more to the story than that.

If Jean was in her 60's or 70's I would understand, but she's not, she's still in her prime if you think about it:p we're not talking about playing basketball or baseball here, or even hockey, we're talking about pool...that can even be played from a wheel chair:D
