Damn..I just paid him on a bet with Mika & Warren.
He has paid me on the bets he owed me, he is slow though paying usually from my experience and others who have bet with him. My read on him is he probably is not an experienced gambler probably not legal to go into a casino and perhaps still in school, anybody want to bet on that? :grin-square:
I made one bet with him and he paid off quickly, but I won't bet with anyone that is slow on paying. I pay off right after the match or the next day if I'm not awake when it ends. I expect the same courtesy or you don't get action from me.
Vette I don't know if you are aware but he puts your name and iba's name up everytime someone is shaky on betting with him. From what I know, he's either slow paying, tries to not pay then agrees to pay and still pays slow, or tries to mix up the terms after the fact. I only know 3 ppl who have dealt with him and none of them have said he paid immediately. He's always in action so my guess is he's using peter's money to pay paul.
I'm thinking the good action list might need a new column for guys who pay off immediately, thats my thoughts. Folks are making $20 bets and paying off and then the next week betting hundreds and thousands...if they dont lose you dont know you paid off a stiffer which infuriates certain people.

ok guys. i need some advice here. i lost a bet with poolgodsloveme on the mika/ warren match last night. i was just about to take care of our $30 bet when i saw this thread. should i just send it to vijesh? what does everyone think?
I paid a bet from last night..but wish this thread would have been posted b4 i took bet..I dont think i would have bet If so.
Ironman you are a good guy...the right thing to do is probably still pay the guy you bet with...
In my own personal reality though I see no problem with paying vijesh and then telling poolgodsloveme about it. Like I said, I think he may be using peter's money to pay paul anyhow, cut down on the paypal fees at least haha.

I would pay him. I lose, I pay, no stall, no excuses. Paypal only over the Internet. Anyone who has ever bet with me was paid promptly via Paypal.

In all seriousness, there were a couple things he said or did that made me think I made a mistake. I asked him to pay immediately following the action and he said he would. I guess I'll never know if I would of got paid with the way things ended up. After the first set he sent me a pm in the chat that lead me to believe he was not aware of what was going on. I saved the entire chat just in case an issue came up.
I agree with Lenny that he is probably a young kid. So, I would caution all to be careful in dealing with him. My advice to poolgodsloveme; it is easy to get swept up in action and agree to bets in the heat of the moment when you are at home on your computer, (especially if you are as young as we suspect). But, please know that your reputation can get tarnished just as easily here as it could in a real poolroom. AZ is a great place for you to get information on pool and make new friends. Please don't ruin a lifetime of fun and knowledge over a measly bet.

I had a $25 bet with him in the Reyes/Joyner match on the 17th this past Thursday I think it was. The match was just about to start, and I verified that he was on the good action list before I bet. I was very specific in that the winner needed to pay immediately after the match ended, and he agreed, and we even exchanged paypal addresses in advance. There was no indication during my dealings with him that he might be young or inexperienced as others have suggested.
He disappeared as the match ended and did not log back into the chat for the rest of the tournament. I waited until late the next day before PMing him my paypal address once again and reminding him that our agreement was to pay off immediately as the match ended and that he needed to take care of it right away. He has been logged into AzBilliards since then (to send PMs seeking more bets according to a post in this thread). I still have not received payment or any communication from poolgodsloveme.
The current good action list is next to worthless. Don't get me wrong, I loved the idea and appreciated the hard work put into it, but there were too many problems with it and in the end it really just creates a false sense of security. Now that I have had a chance to research this guy a little bit, it seems that he has a history of very slow pay. He also has a history of complaining about other people's slow payments. The irony. He had no business being listed on any good action list. There are a couple of threads in the Action Room forum where some discussion is taking place on how to revamp the good action list and make it more reliable if anyone wants to check it out or has any suggestions.

I think no matter what when your gambling sometimes you might be gambling on the guy paying you too. The list can atleast can be somewhat of a guide to your gambling with someone who has lost and paid but either way your taking a chance to an extent. We all saw what happened with Southpaw and how most would have never thought he would do that.
To get on the list you usually have to have someone take a chance on a guy they do not know or have him post on Paypal which is my preferred method. I can say this, someone can post for $50 or $100 and take a shot they will win or lose and be added to the list, then go off for $1000 in bets being vouched for and on the list and still stiff someone. Basically bet at your own risk.
Poolgodsloveme was added because he lost and paid to someone, I lost $50 to him myself and paid him, he lost more then that to me and paid me but slowly which kind of pissed me off but things happen. Lance do the right thing and pay people off so I do not have to release your personal information. Sit back and just hang out here and have a fun time, you should only bet what you can afford to lose.
As for the list I believe it is a decent guide for gambling on here, you can look at the list and pick out a name, if they have been a member for a long time, have a good iTrader and post count, all those should add up and you should be okay with your bet. I think the list is very good in the aspect that no one has been stiffed as of yet by anyone on there and poolgodsloveme would be the first but there is little that can be done about it other then posting with the guy via Paypal who is most reputable unless you trust the person. Its a list of people willing to bet something and hopefully these people pay off but you can get on the list after losing some small bets and then take a shot for a $1000, so bet carefully I say again!

I agree that there is never any absolute guarantee that you are going to get paid on an internet bet, short of having them post up by paypal and there may even be a way to beat that if they want to bad enough.
The point is that while the list was a great idea, in it's current incarnation it has way too many problems and loopholes in it to be very reliable at all. In fact, it may cause more harm than good because of the false sense of security it brings while providing little actual security.
Somebody with a slow pay history like poolgodsloveme had no business being on the list. There are so many ways that it can be made so much more accurate and reliable. So while it may never offer a 100% guarantee on getting paid, it still makes sense to improve it as much as possible to make it as useful, secure, and reliable as possible, don't you think? At least you will be able to enter into an agreement at your own peril based on having accurate information, and that's a good thing in my book.
