Precision Potting - Free Evaluation Trial

So AIMING threads are allowed in the main forum now? I must have missed that memo. Johnnyt

Yes, you can play the spin shots at any distance between cb-ob, weak or strong stroke regardless.

You mean you play a half ball hit with sidespin at any distance and any speed by doing exactly the same thing ? And you don't need to change anything that has to do with visual and physical alignment ?

ps611846, why do you give it a go? Just pm me your email address and we can move on from there.

It is free and after you have tried it out, you can post a simple review here.

Thanks.

Did I read correctly that he wants people to sign an NDA for the info?

Are you kidding me?

Can you imagine someone signing that and telling others about the system and having this guy go to a lawyer screaming about how he taught someone how to pot a ball and they told everyone how I do it! He would literally be laughed out of the law office, NDA or not.

That said, I'm always open minded.

Is this a pivot system... a fractional system of some kind? Give us a high level idea. Heck, even CTE threads had the basics: align, offset, pivot, whack it.

What are the bullet points for this system?

If you can't answer that and it's hush, hush, hush without NDA NDA NDA.... screw this nonsense. The odds of a true amateur coming up with a method that isn't a subset of some kind of what has already been discussed at length on here is almost zero.

Not impossible... just near zero.
Ive done a quick review after signing an NDA. A review was promised, so this is my preliminary.

My biggest message: I wish the initiator had spent time here. His manual might have been cleaner and been met with less scrutiny. As it stands, it's a self-taught instructional with some unique additons to some of the very oldest of the discussed English compensation methods we've had. I think because newbies come on the forum where things like CTE and 90/90 are discussed, that they might not know of what was discussed before that, and what was before that, and so on, and so on. This isn't CTE or 90/90, but it for sure is not new.

But, if you want a different take on a method that works, his method will work. There are a few clarifications I think are needed for stroke, setup, and Physics, so I don't think the current version is ready for prime time. But newer forum members and those who might not know some of the older methods that have been discussed prior to the wave of aiming systems and the wave of low deflection cues might want some refresher as well as a different, maybe more in depth study on the older concepts.

Btw, I teach (or discuss with potential students) this method among other systems and methods. The OP has a unique spin, but I and others on this board have already discussed everything thus far that I've read on his manual to my students. However, as I'm bound by an NDA, I won't disclose exactly what it is, but I also want it on record that I and plenty of others have already discussed this method and the nuances many times over the years. It would be impossible to get sued for IP infraction, based on what I've read so far.

And to the OP, I can make your method stronger or at least give you my spin on the method. I've already done the leg work a decade ago. It'd be much more fun to discuss it openly on the aiming forum.

Thanks Cornerman for your review. I do agree with what you have mentioned in your post. As such, my original post should be amended to as such:

Precision Potting is a method to help you with your potting skills especially for amateurs. That said, potting isn't everything. You still need other skills to win your games.

Precision Potting's advantage is that it helps amateur to level up to good players quickly - in terms of potting.

For those who are interested in the free evaluation trial, please pm to me your email address. You will need to sign an NDA before I email to you the materials.

Yours truly,

precisepotting

PS: I am an amateur, hence I know what an amateur wants. If the better players think that this is beyond them, it is fine. I know you guys probably knows more about pool than me. For the amateurs, you have much to gain.

A lot of people like to say things like this, but it's hard to win games when you miss a pot. Potting is in fact EVERYTHING. Can't win from the chair because of careless missing. As important a good shot is to get position, too many people forget the number one goal of putting the ball in the hole. If the pot doesn't get the attention that is needed then nothing else will matter. The key is to learn to play shape without ever compromising the shot at hand. Never take a shot for granted.

Very true.

Maybe this will work:

BHE, BHE, BHE

CTE, CTE, CTE

DAM, DAM, DAM

HAPS, HAPS, HAPS

See you in the Aiming Conversions forum (or not).

Dave

I don't understand what you guys are doing. Bumping the thread right up to the top again and again.

As for switching it to another forum, are you saying that I should start a similar thread there? That won't be right. Or do I copy everything here and then paste it in Aiming Conversation there? Doubt that is possible.

Last but not least, if you have been to this thread once and felt that you are not interested in the topic, then just leave it be. No need to get upset.

If you really want it move, why not pm to the site administrator? I am sure they have the authority to do so.

By the way, bumping the thread up is definitely good for this thread, so I thank all of you on hindsight. Terima kasih, arigato gozaimasu, xie xie, kumbawa ...

You are new to this forum, so you don't know the history behind the creation of a separate aiming forum. For many years the topic of aiming got introduced into every thread no matter what the topic. For some reason this topic creates very strong emotions and people were ranting, insulting each other and behaving extremely negatively. Others were shilling their own particular aiming system, with a total disregard to what this was doing to other peoples discussions and threads. This created a very toxic and combative atmosphere that was ripping the forum apart. You can only insult a person so many times, before he leaves, never to come back and many people got banned as well.

The situation was resolved (fairly well) by creating an aming forum. It's a very toxic place, but at least this negativity is kept off the main forum. This thread will probably be moved there in it's entirety by a mod. You won't have to recreate it.
