Pro Player Max Eberle recalls "The Most Energetic & Electric Moment in Pool Times 10"

You know "what?" I think would change my mind about the "shameless" self promotion "if" 10 more threads about "the" same shit, "filled" with nut huggers about "how" much is being "added" to the forum. Nothing helps "me" grow my game, learn about pool, "cues," proper table mechanics, etc like some "shameless" self promoting "sales" pitches, and ridiculously "misused" "quotations"!

(O SHIT<<<< I just pointed out punctuation atrocities, I must have lost the interwebz today...)

Good luck, with this "documentary." The denser folks in this thread have turned me off from completely to being a customer. I will put my money toward a good stream instead.

CJ, I hope you one day genuinely contribute with your wealth of knowledge. I think you can do FAR better than only coming here to pitch your products.

Good luck with your sale as they say in the wanted/for sale section...

TAP TAP TAP.

The only thing worse than the shameless plugs is the people that drank the kool-aide that point out how much value his plugs/posts are to the site.

to those, you are a very self-ritious and vocal minority.

But you are right, he does have the potential to be an asset to this forum, that is why I said earlier, I just wish he would run out of goods to sling.

........It's not important for you to understand, after all you're not in the "movie business"(**).....sometimes scenes are designed to get reactions and invoke emotion....and most of the time the person is completely unaware that it's happening.....to them.........right now.....as they breath in.....and out......and blink their eyes.....and feel the chair under them get suddenly warmer......and then they get a sudden desire reply......but how.....can .......they.....make ........sense.......now.....

I'm sorry CJ, but I find your very first sentence(**) very condescending and offensive, to BlueHog, or anyone else questioning your methods of self promotion !.. Also, I cannot make any logical sense AT ALL, of the rest of your post, in trying to defend your reasoning ?

No one is saying you do not have the right to promote TOI, your DVD's or anything else for that matter. (including your barely concealed 'brags')...It is simply your ongoing attempt, to DOMINATE this forum, with your endless ego-driven post's that rile so many of us !

I am NOT a 'hater', nor am I jealous of your considerable accomplishments in the pool world !...I am just amazed, at why you don't allow ANYONE to get a word in edgewise on your behalf ?..You could easily cut your 'hater's' in half, if you did !..The only words I can think of to describe what you are doing to us (and yourself) would be, EXTREME OVERKILL !

SJD

PS..However, I don't see that changing in my lifetime...So carry on !

Yes, SJ DIN PHX you are hater and a nit. Look in the mirror tonight before you go to bed and tell yourself Dear Lord I'm a SIMPLETON and I know it. Probably couldn't run 5 balls if your life depended on it. What a Duesch!!!! :boring2::boring2:

I didn't really take it as that much Dick. Give a person a video camera and he turns into Cecil B Demille.

As far as evoking an emotion in me. My thoughts of Mary making Earls shot after it was hyped up to be nearly impossible was actually an anti climax.

If you feel the need to screw with your story line and toss in an anti climax in the middle of the hype, who are we to say anything. Right.

There are people that need to behind the cameras and involved in the production and there are people that need to be in front of the cameras.

Figuring that one out is either going to get you to the Academy Awards, front row, or signing autographs at Block Buster.

Being in the Movie Biz is the teacher.

Blue Hog, for some reason, there was no way to 'quote' CJ's post ???... So I shall quote yours !...I think CJ is running out of subjects, to promote. whatever it is he is trying to promote !..I mean, Max Eberle is a great guy, but c'mon, CJ is grasping at straws, just for the sake of posting something, isn't he ?

I ask you..why would ANYONE care, that Max finished 4th, in a tournament, in which CJ finished FIRST ! (which is where this is headed, for sure)....About all CJ has left, to 'grab' our attention with, is the time 'Crazy Fred', beat 'Wild Willy', out of $8.00, at 2 shot foul, 9 ball.

I CANNOT be the only one who may see this, as a diversionary tactic..Main goal being "CJ self promo" ! (or am I ?).:sorry:

Hey Dick... when's your documentary coming out? It'd probably include about 5 mins of pool playing and TONS of footage of you delivering UPS boxes while REAL players got in the box.

The only way you got into any HOF was because you won a popularity contest on another pool forum where you sucked jaw breakers out of everyone's azzes. You certainly never earned a spot in the REAL HOF based on REAL tournament wins and world championships.

I know you're so old that back when you actually DID play, you had to hop on the Queen Mary if you wanted to gamble with someone in Europe. I mean, anyone who could actually vouch for your game (by actually WATCHING you play in your prime) has been looooooong dead.

Yeah, you used to play 1-hole above average for an "also-ran" BUT... if you went back in your time to your prime and CJ Wiley did the same and played each other some high stakes 9 ball or 10 ball, you'd look like this:

bull-horn-up-ass1.jpg

CJ had so many tv matches, I lost count -- the only time you were on TV was for a Preparation H commercial.

All your posts are the same... and they're all older than you are. Stop following CJ around from thread to thread and trying to sniff his ass constantly.

glad you understood the joke......carry on. ;)

The hater count total is 4, a "shortstop" from who cares, and 3 others that aint never been there or done that's...I wouldn't be to concerned CJ:). Anyone that means anything has respect for what you have done for pool in your career. My respect remains with the pro where I can learn things to improve my game, and thanks for this recent piece of history. It fits nicely with my accu-stats collection!!

Good luck, with this "documentary."
CJ, I hope you one day genuinely contribute with your wealth of knowledge...

Thanks, I'll contribute a clip from George Breedlove telling more about the PCA, "The New Age of Pool" - George and his beautiful wife Jeanette Lee (who some may know plays a "little pool" herself) have been fine ambassadors for the sport through the years.

Myself, I could care less what CJ posts in the Main Forum.
I don't hate anyone or anything, Its a pretty strong word. I dislike a lot of things but live with them. Thats life.

The Cheesoid thing about this Promo is that it opens to the table lay out of the one, nine combo that Earl shot for his 11th rack.

There is a lot of canned cheering.

Next scene, Max is talking about the one, nine combo and says, "it looked nearly impossible".

Then, Mary is at CJs table with the same lay out as Earl had, one, nine combo and she shoots it in.

Like, how many tries did it take? One, maybe 20. Maybe she did it in one try.

Then, she steps back and stares at the camera as if to say, see, I can do it too.
Mean while, the same canned cheering going on int the back ground.

So, was it nearly impossible or can anyone do it if they shoot it enuff times.

Serious Cheese, thats all. Is the Doc about Earl or why does Mary have to be in it.
I wouldn't mind seeing it again but not if I have to suffer Mary duplicating Earls shots he made that day. To prove something to who?
Seriously, what does Mary making the same shot have to do with Earls legendary Million Dollar shot.
Anyone of us could do that one with enuff tries.
The point is, we/Mary weren't doing it after 10 racks with a Million on the line and a ton of pressure that Earl had on him at that moment.

Thats all, just me being b itchy. I do that once in a while.

Terry...That is Earl! You know how he wears all that crazy stuff while he plays. That's what he looked like back then. You should apologize to Mary for saying she looks like Earl, though.

And go ahead and tell them what a bum taster is. Although I'm sure you've never been one.

Best,
Mike

I can't help but picture an AZ mob with pitchforks and burning torches outside of C.J.'s place in Texas.
The irony here is the contrarian attitude displayed. Most players on this forum, are desperate to advance pool...? Threads like this make me realize that's just LIP SERVICE.
And now we have someone who is actually trying to do something and then all those.... Please help pool...., put more money in billiards, lets grow our sport....Hahaha...just hypocrites, when the rubber meets the road.
Just understand this thread is actually very instructional. Not for the mechanics of a perfect stroke... but as a microcosom of the BILLIARD INDUSTRY. It is filled at the grass roots in America with...lets say.... characters you wouldn't invite over for dinner.
C.J. you are a master player and an excellent help to our sport. Do not let these posters, who have no real clout, tell you not to post about your work.
Threads are a lot like TV Channels.... if you don't like the show..CHANGE IT!
But to come on a public forum and use absurd hyperbole like "shameless self promotion."
YOU should be ashamed to be part of the cancer that hurts our sport. How about next time instead of mindlessly complaining about a pool related product on a pool forum, just don't.
The only opinion on here that matters is Mr. Wilson's and I haven't seen any quips about shame or promotion from him.
Stay out of CJ's business, and like my mama always said, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Keep up the good fight C.J.

Thanks, none of this comes as any surprise, I know there's a price to pay to make changes, and pool's no exception, it's the "Sample Example".

I only have one agenda and that's to try.....try to promote pool the best way with the tools we have in hand. If it was easy someone would have already done it. ;)

Earl Strickland posted something on Face Book earlier that I just read - it makes it "all worth while"......there are many rewards more valuable than financial, and getting the opportunity to work with Mary Avina, Earl Strickland, Jay Helfert, Ben Tubbs, Jim Odom, Otis Thompson, George Breedlove, Joe Rogan, Ed Fugate, and many more....to produce 'Billiard's Perfect Miss' is something I wouldn't take a million NOT to do again.

Small clip from CJ's documentary where we just sit and talk one on one- thank you buddy for investing your time and money in seeing this project completed but most of all for your friendship! — Earl Strickland.

Comon Spidey, give the guy a break, he should make the hall of fame just for waking up in the morning. Poor guy is lost now that his feud with the Beard has run it's pitiful course. He's looking for another target and it seems C.J. is it. He's probably posting in a Yukon Jack fog anyway. The guy could actually tell some interesting stories, if he could remember any of them. Someone had to remind him of a match that he had with Fats.

Ouch.
Note to self: Do not engage in cyber warfare with SpiderWebComm

Mr. _7days, I do not consider what I do with Mr. SpiderWeb.."Cyber Warfare" !..It is more like "Cyber Pity"!..I am giving a non-playing, no talent wannabe, a platform to expound on things WAY above his ability to comprehend, so he can 'appear' clever, to his like-minded friends !..

He should be thanking me for giving him that opportunity !...How else, (and where else) could someone with so little to offer, be able to spout such incoherent jibberish, unabated ?..It is not surprising he does not see that...But then, he really does NOT see much of anything, pool related ! He should stick to his best game 'cartoons'..His parrot, poor Mr. MarkGW
...doesn't even have that going for him

"the Sword is mightier than the pool cue".....that could be the new "AZ Slogan".

Shame on someone for promoting pool products on a pool forum.

That's right, isn't it ironic? How dare anyone talk about "winning a million playing pool" and televising the game on a weekly basis.

What else do we promote on a pool forum? I have a feeling the "dislikers" would get uncomfortable no matter what sport I talked about.

How about swords?.... would that be better to promote on azbilliards.....azSwords??? :D
