Is it a phenomenon exclusive to the Philippines?

Most of the top Pinoy Pro's have an "entourage" when in country that wold make Floyd Mayweather Jr smile.

I've played Efen in AC and Puerto Galera. Seen him play many times in the PI, never aboard.

As humble as he is, I've yet to see him carry his own cue to a match, screw it...unscrew it. His childhood Com padre "Lucky" with the platform shoe takes care of that for him. They look like brothers.

Even Class "C" Pro's have minions carrying their proverbial "Jock-Straps"...
 
when I think groupie I think women. So, how about the phillipino Women. do they fall under this category?

Entourage is one thing, but groupies? Efren is married.

Let's start a thread about those with brown noses who are pro player testicle danglers. You know what I'm talking about, the people who like to create brand-new threads each and every single day about how great Philippines and their Filipino players are.

Entourage like jam put it to me is a short coming i dont need that many people to make me feel good i got my wife and kids for that.

That entourage wont be there when a pinoy goes bust but my fam will i think its to make up for lack of something.

Interesting tidbits, or food for thought, if you will:

1. A supposed-Filipino who uses Floyd Mayweather Jr. as an "example." (Hint: wouldn't he have used another more modern-day example right from "his" own country? Oh, say, a certain someone named Manny?)

2. Lots of U.S. Navy veterans were Pacific coasties (i.e. stationed on the left coast). Subic Bay, Phillipines -- the huge Navy base that closed in 1992 -- is reminisced about a lot from these veterans.

3. Has anyone ever seen this "Lucky" compadre that the OP speaks of, in any videos (even impromptu ad-hoc cell phone videos captured right there in PI that litter YouTube)? For that matter, has *anyone* ever see Efren hand-off his cue to someone else to screw and unscrew?

4. The plethora of proxy/anonymizing servers available all over the world -- including the PI -- which hide your location behind that server's IP address.

No matter how much one tries, a leopard can't change his spots.

But, I actually think groupie is a good term, although I don't associate it with women only. The 1st person that came to mind when I saw this thread's title posts on this forum, with 2 different accounts no less....

One thing for sure that is a reality in this pool world, if you get sick, grow old, go broke, or end up in jail, most will discover how many friends they have. In the end, it is usually family who stands by their own. Sadly, some folks learn this the hard way.

I've wondered along similar lines for a while now, and though there are some similarities, I'm still not convinced. A distinct possibility, but I think it's more likely two peas in a pod.

What's also interesting, that I failed to mention in bullet item #2 of the list in my previous post, was that that place isn't referred to as "Subic Bay" anymore. One of the things the government of the Phillipines did, to remove the stigma associated with the former Navy base (which wasn't good, believe me), was to rename that area -- back in 1992.

One can go to great lengths to satisfy an addiction. Finding a proxy/anonymizing server is the easy part. That changing the spots thing is a whole 'nother matter.

Or, you could be right -- two peas in a pod. It's just interesting how alike these peas are -- American mannerisms, colloquialisms, and everything.

He would have had to have stashed this account, relatively unused. Started in June of last year, and he's made countless others since then. Possible, yes.

There is another distinct similarity, but I won't get into it, probably just me. (And if not, why let him in on it, to make it any easier for him. :p)

This guy doesn't seem to come back into the threads he starts, to further fan the flames. Perhaps "he" has learned, but it is different.
 
Maybe PP wants to screw and unscrew our shafts for us? Seems a little odd, and really, I'd rather not have random people touching either myself or my equipment.

I really must have missed something here. What is the problem that alot of you seem to have with the OP? I have seen worse threads started in the past I don't think I have noticed this poster too much before so I must have missed something.
