Thin sheet veneers are being wrapped around a core of maple.
At the heart of the matter the cuemaker never informed his customers of using this construction method.

Just for clarification because I'm a bit confused on what is being debated pertaining to construction method.
I'm not in any way picking sides.
Are we suggesting that the cue has a highly figured veneer wrapped around a maple plug rather than a solid piece of wood that is cored and plugged with a maple core?
Because that is obviously two hugely different forms of construction.
I agree that a thin or thinner wall is left after coring and plugging. But that would be considerably different than wrapping a rod of maple with say an Amboyna veneer and calling it an "Amboyna" cue.
Just looking to understand exactly what the accusation is.
