Question for cue guys...

this might sound weird, my heart was acting up again-I dont know why i was in a meeting sitting on a love seat in my conference room and my chest tightned up bad. I had to hit the nitro hard to feel better and now I'm in bed with a headache from it. I get arterial spasms in my heart from stress and that can trigger a instant fatal heart attack, I have ZERO placque or blockages in my heart, they put the camera in there to see, I never smoked(not once, not even pot-never once), barely drink, eat healthy most of the time and weigh 235. So I'm not in a high risk group, but the stress is bad for me, the economy and watching my bankroll disappear and my biz hasnt helped me, I first went down when I was 35 from this-I was making $800,000/month then-but still had massive stress, perhaps more then than now. Stress is bad stuff

so to my point I am laying here my cue is next to me-on my bed. If I died would it be weird to be bruied with a cue??? Some people get buried with their wedding ring, or other stuff. Its kinda a waste of a cue, I dont want to get buried with any old junk cue, however I dont want to take a perfectly good Gus out of circulation either.

So if you died would you want to be buried with a cue??? and if so your player cue, or a cue you had for years? no i'm not high on pain meds been off them for months. Its a legit question. I'd like to have a cue in the box with me, it might get lonely in there-ya never know. What if you go to the pearly gates and they ask where's your cue and you say its at home and my family is selling it off, you would feel pretty silly, not like you can go home and get it-your dead!!!

So what if any cue is your coffin cue???

and NO i'm not on meds-except nitro, but that kind of scare gets a guy thinking weird stuff. I didnt post this in the regualr forum, just for cue guys, most people probably dont care.

Take your Szam with you.
Will the rest to me.
I'm taking my brazilian/african cue with me when I get burried.

Not preaching

Nothin' spiritual in this statement but you leave this world the same way you came in. So unless you were born with a cue in your tiny little baby hands it all gets left behind waving bye bye as you move along. What your next stop is might be a bigger question...

great question

Eric, when I go...I am going with my old Palmer that I had as my playing cue for about 20 years. The best I ever played was in that time and it was with that Palmer.......Please have someone put a new tip on it when the time comes....LOL
Steve

OK, as strange as this question sounds, I've given it some thought...
Pick out your best looking cue and ask your family to have it in the coffin with you for the wake, but, pick out your best playing cue and ask your family to bury it with you. If there is pool in the hereafter, you want your best player.

Eric -

Nope, I will pass them along to another person who can enjoy them. I encourage you to do the same.

They will do you no good, and could give someone the same passion and love that we share. How could you deprive someone the treasures we have aquired?

For us who do not make $800,000 a month, the mere $25K worth of cues I own can be sold to those who appreciate them and my family can spend the money on hookers or beer or college bills, down payments on houses or whatever.

Someone out there owes you big time !

I just wanna visit your grave Eric to pay my respects - at 3am with a shovel to resurrect that Gus because it deserves to live forever. :-)

That's some heavy duty cue love to consider being buried with one but it's not stranger than a lot things people get buried with.

I say it's your stuff do what you want to with it. I guess my opinion would be that I'd want it to be in the hands of someone who would appreciate it and thus I'd be in their thoughts every time they played.

'scuse me for being blunt but.... burying a cue is stupid. :groucho:

i wanna know how to make $800k a month
or for a year
or ,hell, i'd settle for that much for the rest of my life

Pick the person that would most cherish and enjoy it, as you have in your life, and will it to them. After all, Gus can make you a new one...:angel2:

perhaps i should have left the $$$ part out of the post, i was half out of it, I dont make half that a year now days so its irrelavant anyways. infact my prioritys have changed, I'm more interested in friends and charity work than $$$ nowdays, i'm over the "i gotta get rich" phase of my life, now my motivation is to do good things and have a fun social life. When I was making big $$, i had no social life all I did was work(it wasnt a fun period of my life) funny as that sounds its the truth.

Jim you know I really like you alot and respect your opinion, and I like blunt answeres, they are easy-I dont have to think. Can we compermise and bury me with a McDermott. One less McD isnt going to hurt pool or anyones feelings. ;)

thanks buddy for your input

eric

I would take your favorite cue and case Eric. As I feel you are right, friends and family are what matter in this life. The cues are just materialistic symbols.
Hope you are well my friend, take care of yourself!
