Record -> Most balls pocketed on the break

Was it Alex P that made 7 on the break one time and didn't get out?

6 balls, was left very close to his work (I believe it was the 6 or 7 ball) and missed leaving Santos Sambajon and easy out. BCA Open was the Tourny

After 22 years of playing a lot of 9-ball the most I had ever made was 5 balls until a few months ago I made 7. The only balls left on the table were the 2, 7, and cue ball.

I saw that, actually; my husband's got the Accu-Stats tape. I can't remember whom he was playing, but I'll ask my husband if he remembers (or knows where the tape is!). I seem to remember he was left almost frozen to the seven...hmmm...I think that's right. So he's made both 6 and 7 on the break.

Alex was playing Santos when he made 7 balls out of 9 on the break. :)

Edit: I take it back. Alex made 6 balls on the break: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKXykcdxJzM

I have heard of several guys making all 9 playing 9 ball, I have heard of 8 made playing 9 ball and the poor guy was corner hooked on the 9. And, I have seen 8 balls made playing 9 ball on a 9' table. The 9 was the only ball left, and it was a short straight in shot on it. That was July 11, 2004, at Anazeh Sands Billiards. And, there were several witnesses to it. There is no video of it.

Even I could get out on this rack. :)

I made 6 on the break and lost

Playing league nine ball I broke too hard (for me), lost the cb, it jumped 3 feet, landed on the edge of the right side long rail, then it rebroke the cluster-6 balls went down. I was hooked. I pushed out bad-I lost. Got a new nickname in that room-THE CURSE.

Bad break became good roll then a bad roll/then a good nickname. That's my story.

I have done six, believe 7 can be done, am sceptical about 8 out of 9, and refuse to believe all nine went down without a signed affidavit.

Danny harriman pocketed 6 balls on a 7 ball break. He had a tuff cut on the 7 and got out. I think Deuel went on to win the match.

I wasn't there that day so I was not a witness but I heard about it later that night and it was the talk of the room for a couple of days.

The way I heard it was that the 9 and CB were the only 2 balls left on the table and you were left with a 18" straight in shot on the 9. I can't remember did you make the 9? :p:thumbup:

Out of 47 zillion breaks, I have made 7 balls playing 9-ball twice. The first time only the 8 and 9 ball left on the table and I was dead behind the 9. The second time, the same thing, only the 8 and 9 left but I had a long straight in shot on the 8 which I hung in the pocket. If memory serves me correctly, I did win both games.

Nobody really jumped in about an 8-ball break so here is one for you...

When I was in college at the University of North Texas I was practicing with a guy one afternoon and he made 9 balls on an 8-footer including the 8...

He made 6 stripes, 2 solids and the 8-ball...
