I'm looking for sor info on his cues. I never see them on here for sale. I never hear anyone ever talking about them. The cues i see in pictures look great, but do they play the same?

How do the play? How do the balance? How is the craftmanship?

Thanks,

cbi

This month's issue of InsidePOOL Magazine (May '07), Richard Chudy is the featured cuemaker.

Richard Chudy, IMO, is part of that elite group of cuemakers that make up the top 20 or so in the world. And he's one of the best interviews I've had.

It's good to see that Fred is not above a shameless plug. :D I agree that Chudy is in the top 20 and is probably closer to the top ten. His designs are amazing.

Balance is one of the things a buyer specifies on a custom cue. What balance do you prefer?

When I was at college one of my teammates played with a Chudy sneaky pete. The thing is still the most solid cue I have hit with. Of course most sneakies are solid but this one was a rock.

they are one of best playing cues on the market!!

I've seen a half dozen or so. They are outstanding. Onthehill.net has a couple for sale.

Picked up a RC3 cue recently from Cornerstone. It is now my playing cue. To me it feels like it was made for me. The balance point is 18.5 inches from the butt which is about the same as all of my other cues. The difference is the way the weight is distributed throughout the cue. The cue feels almost weightless when I am shooting with it. I think it has the best feel and hit of all the cues that I have played with and own which include SW, Bender, Jensen, S Weston, Layani, Lambros, Gina, and Gilbert.

The craftsmanship is what you would expect from any high end cuemaker. You will be satisfied if you buy one.

Most dealers will let you try out a cue for the cost of shipping, that is why you will sometimes see the sale pending note under the photo. Cornerstone and On the Hill have some nice RC3's.
