To an Athlete Dying Young​

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.

Today, the road all runners come,

Damn. Look at the head on that boy, he knows how to read . . . and interpret . . . and I was always told you northerners couldn't hold a candle to us.

But, if I had been made to tell the truth, I would have been compelled to place myself at the head of the list. Did I not say Justnum was my cyber-friend?
