Through another thread just found out that Prof. Justin Ramos passed away about a month or so ago. No real details other than a LinkedIn post by some colleagues where he taught. Hey brother you took all our shots at your sometimes(usually???) zany posts but it was meant as just fun needling. Sounds like your students really liked you and you'll be missed. Hope you're entertaining/baffling all those in heaven who now have to fade your 'enthusiasm' RIP brother.

Oh, no. I always enjoyed his posts.

I was never sure if he was just yanking our chains or was really that out there. I always assumed he was very young. Maybe he wasn't but sad to hear either way.
Had a MS degree from NYU and taught math at NYC school Malone. Pretty sharp cat and based on the condolences his students really dug him. I think he probably had as much fun jackin with us as we did needling him.

He's been missing in action around here for a while, I assumed he just wanted a break. Could have been he was just having med issues. I'll give him credit, he made this forum interesting at times, lesser men would've folded, he just kept on his normal path. Sounds like he was liked in school, that's a good thing.
Have to admit, I'm going to miss some of his posts.

RIP Num. You were certainly entertaining.
My sincere condolences to his friends and family.

Very sad to hear.

Because 80% of his posts were senseless and ill-informed, many of us tended to overlook that in the other 20%, he offered some useful, interesting content. At times, you could have a meaningful exchange with him, and I had more than a few. He was a big advocate of women in pool, and I'll remember him for that. He always wanted what was best for pro pool and I'll remember him for that, too. Our AZB community is weakened by the loss of any active contributor, and that is what he was. Thanks for the memories, Justnum.

Condolences to his family and friends. RIP.

20% valuable content is pretty good. Seems I may have missed some things I should have read. As usual, you sum things up well and express them well. You might consider putting that post in the AZB Hall of Fame where we remember fallen members. There are a lot worse epitaphs.
