She has won her first 3 matches at TS and is going to play Oscar next-it might have started I didnt check the feed. This match sucks for me b/c they are both friends and I root for them both all the time. I hope that they both play their best, shame one of them has to lose but thats pool...:frown: Just nice to see her do so good!!!!! Sarah is a perfect example of why its so important to get kids playing pool, imagine if no one took the time with her, she wouldnt be there, Oscar wouldnt have a match;) , seriously its a shame more parents dont teach their kids pool. Thats why i'm going to give pool tables to the Boys Club like I did on a consistant basis-depends on my$$ and inventory but I WILL be doing more for sure!!!!

GO SARAH & OSCAR!!!!!!!!!

You're looking at it all wrong Eric. It's awesome that 2 of your friends are playing. One of your friends WILL win, no matter what.

That's so funny. I picture poor Oscar standing there with no match all because no one showed Sarah how to play pool. Just tweak the past that tiny bit and Oscar would be drawing a bye.

Thanks for the grin

Starting to fall in place for Sarah

Sarah has always had the tools to be a success on and off of the pool table. I think things are finally starting to fall in place and it could not happen to a more deserving person. I wish her nothing but the best and am proud to call her a friend and somebody that has helped council me for many years now. Here is to another 12 years or so Sarah!!! Do what you do!!!!

Congrats Sarah. It's great to see her mixing it up with the bigboys...and winning!

Sarah

Stream reported next match is Stevie Moore and Sarah. Oscar must have won.

Congratulations Sarah...on your continued excellent play at the Turning Stone event, and I hope you play that well in every tournament you enter!:D I'll always remember, seeing you as a bright, happy 10 yr. old kid, with obvious talent! Remember Cody Simko?

Sadly, her tournament success has not been mentioned at all in her home town newspaper, The Bloomington-Normal Pantagraph.

Don't the tournament directors send out press releases?

The winner of the U.S. Open probably wouldn't make it to the paper.

Take this the right way. She seems like she has made a "huge" improvement "overnight".

I remember you doing the same thing, I have heard that "overnight" comment about you numerous times from almost all of your friends and fans. Any thoughts on yours and Sarahs seemingly "overnight" success and significant improvement?

My opinion is this is the time you started playing in Indy against MUCH better players regularly. JMO.

Matching up and playing better players definitely has something to do with improvement in pool, but just a small piece. It seems as if sometimes everything just starts to click, and yes it usually happens "overnight". If you practice, compete, and study the game then you are deserving of your rewards and success. There are no short cuts. Sarah has been paying her "dues", so to speak, for a very long time and she is now getting the rewards that she so very much deserves.

Go Sarah!

She won me over pretty easily as a fan when I got some instruction from her in Austin a few weeks ago, this girl is a class act and has the most impressive break in pool in my opinion.

She sure has a hell of a break

Terrific young player, living proof good things come in small packages. I watched her play first hand at Turning Stone. Very composed, great concentration, the little things that lead to success. Fabulous break.
