Shane vs Jesse Bowman

Wow I was beginning to wonder if Jesse even existed, I heard all this talk about him being the best, but never heard of him playing anyone. If Shane put a 9-pack, or just ran 9 racks in the first set, for Jesse to come back and only lose by 4 in the second set, that shows that Jesse can play too. I still like Shane over anyone right now, especially on the bar table! Can't forget what he did to Orcullo.:)

I'd like to see Walden vs SVB in Olathe on a bar box.

WOW!! Two years ago, Shane would not match up with Jessie on a BARBOX, and now his game has reached a point to where not only did he accept his match, he pretty much killed him in one and won the second!!

KUDOS to you Shane, not much the whoffing type just gets in there and does it!!
I would have to say that if Walden's backers wanted the match that Shane would be all over it. SO, I no longer care to hear from MCWHORTER (sp) on his Corey Chest pounding, the billiards community finally has a PLAYER!!

If the the SVB - Vs - Walden does happen, please keep us up on it.

If my memory serves me right, this is the third time in the last couple of years Shane and Jesse have matched up. Shane beat Jesse towards the end of the last Windy City on the box and Shane double dipped Jesse towards the end of a barbox casino tourney over in North Dakota a couple years ago.

The Argus Leader, a Sioux Falls newspaper, ran an article on Shane yesterday. http://www.argusleader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070612/SPORTS/706120329/1002/SPORTS

Why didnt Jessie enter btw?

Saw Jessie play few years ago when he lost to Alcaide in final, looked awesome still

Craig...Being as you live in Australia, you maybe aren't aware of the 'pool politics' going on here. Jesse's dad (Duane) is one of the top dogs in the ACS, and would have a stroke if Jesse played in the BCA Championships! LOL
  :D

Agh ok, thanks, but saw him play it two years ago :S

PS
Back in England now, well after this trip ;)

Sorry but I know Dwaine and Jessie very well and Jessie can play in any league or tournament he chooses Dwaine does not care one way or the other.

Not sure why jessie didnt go this year, He's funny like that you never see him practice and he only plays when he feels like it I can only imagine how good he could be if he really tried.

Jessie Bowman could be the best player in the world if he wanted to be...I talked to duane personaly about 3 years ago when i refed the state tourny for him and he stated that jessie never practices at all....and just to clear the air alittle duane is on the acs board but his state has decided to stay independant...may have changed now but that the way it was when this all started...

perfect......

shag fu ill take your action any day! smooth transaction! great guy! good luck on your future wagers!

"Jessie Bowman could be the best player in the world if he wanted to be...."

that line has been said about many and is played out imo

Bowman is a bar specialist, Shane is a pool pro winning at the highets levels, no comparison

Yeah... People always say "Imagine how much better ______ would be if they took it seriously.." But that's the point, isn't it? If that player REALLY had what it takes (drive, mental game, etc..) then they WOULD be better than they are.

Guess what, people? Part of what makes the world class champions who they are is the overpowering need to get better every day, and to win. Those who willing to work the 40 hour/week job will most likely remain local champions.

Knowing his game and having the pleasure of watching him play is an awesome experience for me. It kind of sickens me that he doesn't take it seriously anymore, and doesn't practice hardly if at all anymore. I think that has something to do with not being challenged by it or anyone near him anymore and he has grown bored. I would bet that if he moved to ... let's say the Springhill area that he would do very well in a rematch after a few months of being just in the middle of the top instead of being the very top.
Shane gets to play world champions everyday and gets his game pushed to its max, Jessie lives in a corn field and doesnt have many people around him that can push him.

Jesse lacks challenge? Send him to the Philippines, but tell him to bring a lot of dough...
