I just watch the interview with Shane on Action Report.com about his match with Donny Mills. In his interview he stays he will walk into anybodys poolroom an play them with no problem he does not care .I have great respect for all players i'm about to mention i do not see Shane walking into Johnny Archers poolroom an asking for action on a tight gold crown or even walking into Dennis Hatch's poolroom an playing him on a tight table. I belive in having confidence in your game put come on Shane your not SUPERMAN ! JUST MY 2 CENTS PROFESSOR

I believe he could play both those guys and on their turf and have a reasonable chance of winning one of them. Shane thinks two-why shouldn't he?

Every tournament he is CONSTANTLY on a table prefecting his game and hitting balls.

I nicknamed him the machine at Turning Stone, he laughed. But I bet he laughed beucase he knows I am right!

If there were anyone in the U.S. that could make that statement, it would be him, and he knows that. Actually, it was just a casual statement that he was put on the spot to answer, so, I wouldn't take him too seriously. Calm down a little.
 
I wish all you people on this forum had the chance to watch Shane play at Table Stakes in Denver a couple nights last week. Tight 4" gold crown pockets. Believe me he can hold his own with any player in the world no problem period. There is no way possible for anyone to play better 9 ball than what we all watched for many many hours. Never a hiccup. Just unbelievable perfection.

I find it funny that people think a tight table will slow down Shane. He is always hitting the middle of the pocket, (unless he wants to cheat the pocket) so it doesn't matter how tight the pockets are.

You're basically calling out one of the only US players who will put their money where their mouth is. Shane is a machine. He can beat anyone on any given day.

On top of that, he's a very likable guy.
 
Plus Shane never said he would beat anybody on their table, he said he would play anybody, and how can anybody disagree, he is always playing somebody, somewhere, I love how Shane is not afraid to step up and play.

I'd take it a step further, and say he lives to step up and play. The guy has a special kind of hunger, and he very obviously loves to plan and compete. He says stuff like, "I'll play an human being" with a smile on his face. Can't fault him for that.

Is he the best in the country? world? of all time? Who could ever really know. And, what does it matter? He's a joy to watch play, and he's good for the sport.
 
I would take him seriously.... I believe if the money is right... he will be in anybody's pool room.

YOUR 2 CENTS worth could not be further from the truth. Shane will play anyone in their home room on a tight table, he has proven it over and over.

Shane has proved that he has the stones to play anyone.. He did not guarantee a victory in every situation but simply stated that he would play anyone on their own table in their home room.. He's done it, he has stuck to his word and has left many with empty pockets.. I don't doubt his word one bit Mr. Professsor..

For someone that claims to be a professor you should really proof read your post before submitting it.
 
Well duh Superman is already being used...he is a beast though. He just said he'll play, I know lots of guys who will play and they lose a lot of money. I could be wrong but SVB seems to be way ahead on the money count while gambling, and thats with the world. I'm inclined to think he is the USA's best gambler at the moment, JA and Dennis Hatch are strong too but the fact is they don't get around like the kid. Bartram is a monster too and I think I read on here before he wanted two balls playing 10 ball with him, dont know if it was a joke or not, but if that dont tell ya nothing OP than you need Jesus to save you.
