Just wondering if anyone knew what happen with Shannon Call out about playing any US Player ?

Last I heard Cohan called him out but not sure how it ended anyone know?
 
Bill Cohan is a good player, but he can't beat Shannon.

I think he forgot Tony was American when he posted. Figure he just meamt to call out Justin Hall, Danny Smith, or Corey.

If you ever learn that was the case 4 sure, please post it as SD IMO should have kept his word. I'd have accepted it if he had chiseled down some $, but not back out entirely, if he in fact did.

It's not like he had 0 chance.

Disagree! When he shouts that and chohan calls, you let that go to v-mail.

To think there is some sort of ethical basis that would hold him to executing is silly.

Until the money is posted, nothing is in ink.

l keep my word and think doing so is an ethical obligation. We truly don't have much more than that. Cars and watches etc don't count for shit. Your mouth matching your actions does imho. An offer was made and accepted. In business a judge would say that's an oral contract. JMHO.

Danny Smith said he tried to make a big money game with Shannon for about year after they played at the Derby a couple of years ago and broke even.

He said he gave up trying and moved on to matches that might really happen.

I think Shannon is a great player, but he just never competes anymore, really about only time he really ever plays is once a year at the Derby now days.

He has more priorities in his life these days than playing pool.

In which case you don't issue a national challenge especially a WRITTEN one, and btw, he acknowledged he hadn't played since the DCC in the post, but still went on to say he WOULD play any American etc.
I'm not saying he should go to jail but he can longer be taking seriously if he indeed backed out.
