Shocking news: Shane vs Denis match got canceled

The word I'm getting is that French is simply a flake. So far the evidence supports this. The wall o text post from who I assume is his brother suggests it runs in the family.

If French blew 100k in pool over the last few months I'm curious where it went.

I think he'd be hard pressed to fill out a postage stamp with content of what he's done for pool.

My guess is bad beats...lol

Before anyone gets mad at me. Just re-posting from Dave's public FB post for those that are curious or not handy with FB.

Are there more pages to the contract?

Unless I missed it....Dennis agreed to give up half of his winnings.....but got nothing in return??????

What did numbnut give Dennis?

He gets an agent, under the assumption that the agent will work in his best interest to attain more marketability and thus make him more money.

a.k.a - Dennis didn't understand what he was signing...

My favorite part is term C. That is an extreme conflict of interest, and no one that has this explained to them would agree to this term.

Just the percentages involved are so outside the norm foot similar contracts, it would likely be thrown out just on those grounds.

I agree, but I was just pointing out that C is boarder line extortion. Super easy to put the fix in, and such circumstances have come up countless times in our own government.

Wait a minute. So according to clause C, if French jets off to Las Vegas and takes Justin out on the town to wine and dine him to discuss having Dennis in a new TAR match, and blows $10k on the trip, he gets to send Dennis an invoice for half the tab?

Awesome.

Ok, I have I think the answers from one side of the story. I just finished a no holds barred interview with Dennis O. He gave me his side of the story from the Ko match and how much to The contract to the SVB deal. I was amazed at his honesty and answers. 9pm Central on American Billiard Radio. This is going to open your eyes.

Meanwhile French reads this post and is thinking....shiiiiiit

Anybody else find it strange that there is nothing about confidentiality? If there were matches that were hyped up to be more than they actually were (false advertising, fraud etc) Dennis could easily get out of this contract by not wanting to associate with an agent that is committing a crime. I'd be shocked if this contract holds up in court.

If you back somebody, getting 50 percent of the winnings means your horse must win 75 percent of the time to break even.

What French's contract says is he gets half his winnings, but what does DO get in return? Entry paid, travel, hotel, a stipend? Unreal DO signs this.

If Dennis intentionally withheld money when the contract was in its infancy, he's going to have big problems in court. At a minimum he's going to need a very good lawyer who's going to require a huge retainer because his income is not gauranteed and they have no countersuit to bring.

Looking forward to it.

Dennis could say he doesnt want to be an accomplice of a crime. The Shane/Dennis match was full of false advertising($100K match) and French(his agent was behind it all). French said on stream that Dennis is putting up $25K of his own cash. Dennis could say in court he doesn't even have $25K cash. He could say French lied about the match and it is only a $20K match.

That could void the contract as the player doesn't want to be part of criminal activity. Saying the match is $100K to lure PPV's valuing over $500-1000 constitutes a felony.

If anyone thinks this will EVER go to court, I would like to sell you some investment property, and I don't even own any:)

Come on guys, forget about if the contract is legit or not, no one in the pool business sues anyone else. Its not worth getting out of bed to sue someone when that someone has no money. Good luck collecting, even if you win! And this is not a dig on Dennis, this is just how it is for almost all the players. None of them have money, so what are you going to sue them for?
