You can stop Muttley, cause you are way over by now! It's just number of cities!

Then you can subtract all the stops that didn't actually run. Then add the unscheduled stops along the way that filled up in a day.
 
38 cities/towns were on the schedule (without the cancelled one and the one wich will take place this week).
 
pulled out all the STOPS, EVEN! to be honest i don't know the answer, but since i live in scotland i think it is fair that i win the prize! ;)

Can I just have every number between 40-140?

I have no earthly idea how many. I tried searching, I looked on Johnny's web site at the Legends schedule etc...no where could I find the answer.
