You have a 13mm tip and then you round it to dime or nickel size. Is it still considered 13mm?

Thirteen milimeters not only refers to the standard thickness of a common U.S. nickle, but is also one half the circumferance (squared), of a dime. Pre-1964 coinage is excluded, of course.
In addition, when viewed from a quantitative point of reference these measurements may well be deceptive and highly misleading to those who are untrained, or unfamiliar with the tip sciences.
Suffice it to say, however, the only thing a lay person really need say to a qualified tip installer is. "Make it round, Joe."![]()
Hi Bob,
there is one other factor....is the tip edge or sides paralell?....if so I would say its still 13mm, but if you chamfer the edges inward slightly like I do it will....IMO make it a smaller tip like say 12mm or 11mm....
I do that when the tip is new so when it is broken in it goes back to paralell

Bob, 13MM refers to the diameter of the tip, not it's shape.
good lord!!Now you tell me!
good lord!!
how many layers? 20?
does it still fit in your case?
no need for a 60" cue huh chris
I like to glue 3 of them Kamui's together - just to make damn sure I got enough tip. I figger if one tip is good, then 3 tips is about 4 times as good!
