Singernak

Eventhough i am new to azbilliards i am posting this message reluctantly after waiting 4 days for a return phone call or e-mail from singernak.

It must be a rare thing considering that most sellers find it hard to find a reputable buyer that a seller that advertises a cue for sale for several weeks fails to contact an interested buyer after a legitimate and firm offer to pay his stated price has been made.

The seller singernak (real name withheld) has exhibited avoidance behavior after he inititated e-mails of photographs and a couple of general telephone conversations to my home or office about the joss west cue that he has or had advertised for sale.

Suddenly all communication has stopped in regard to my offer to purchase the joss west cue at the price advertised.

This adolescent avoidance is the same complaint from another buyer on azbilliards against singernak regarding a demand for a refund for misrepresenting the condition of a cue on an earlier cue sale.

Curiously enough that cue also happened to be a joss west cue but not the identical cue. (buyer beware)

since singernak has not or will not responded to my e-mail or voice mail i can only assume that he was not totally committed to selling or my insistence upon using the escrow service of proficient billiards has influenced his silence and avoidance.

He may have sold to another buyer or he is incommunicato or any of other reasons maybe true, perhaps he will respond to this posting on the buyer and seller forum

whichever his reason(s) may be for his lack of communication it certainly does not speak well of singernak and his ability to conduct a business transaction.

All buyer and sellers are entitled to curtesy with the least of those curtesy(s) is communication partiularily among so called adults.

Since i have lost nothing but my time and my patience, i can only advise those of you considering dealing with singernak that he may flake out on you, or fail to honor a gentlemen’s agreement to stand by any product that he may offer for sale.

Unfortunately ripp offs and scams are all too common an occurrence, use an escrow services it may save you from unnecessary stress and loss.

Very sorry to hear this since your new here.

There are many excellent sellers here so don't let 1 almost transaction spoil your quest for a great cue .

Just be careful and when in doubt ESCROW!

Good communication is everything when doing a deal.

Singernak...My Experiences

I bought 2 cues from singernak over the past few months. Cues were exactly as described, good prices and fast shipping. I would not hesitate to buy from him again. He communicated well with me throughout the transaction.

He sold a cue for a friend and had troubles it is always the friend you sell for gets ya in trouble but he made good on the deal...Most likely he found a buyer without the escrow fees and is finished with the sale?

My experience mimicks the one Wedge had. I have done business with Singernak, spoke with him over the phone several times, communicated very well, and the transaction went very smoothly. I myself wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again. To the OP, I hope it all gets straightened out and both parties come to an agreement.

It's very easy to condem someone and then mob mentality sets in. Just a possibiliy that you lowballed him or created so much mistrust that he decided to end the sale and communication with you. I am not putting you down but, you have 0 itrader and little experience. I think most AZers would love to hear singernaks side of this story as long as you made this sale public. In some of my sales zero itraders made such lowball offers and demands that they were'nt entitled to any responce. Larry

I had someone recently offer to buy a cue, they asked if it was available, asked for my Paypal info and I marked it sold, a couple days go by and no payment. I contact this person twice and then finally they responded back that they picked up something else but are still on here looking for a cue. I thought about posting negative iTrader but instead just put the person on my $hit list. Most likely down the road I will have another item the person wants and I might have some fun with them by issuing a refund after they send me the dough. :grin-square:

P.S. I have met singernak in person, seems like a good guy, possibly he sold it already but a phone call would be good or something just to let you know and also to be on good terms if something down the road comes up with another cue it might mean a possible sale.

Haha, I agree, I have had people offer half of what I am asking for something and just shake my head & hit the delete button. :p

If your looking for a Joss West, just post a thread on here saying that your looking for one and I am sure someone will have something nice to offer and priced well too.

I bought a cue from him this past Jan. and had no problems....Talked to him on phone about the cue and it came just as described....
I know he does sell a lot of his cues for a friend....We talked about that....He is slow getting back sometimes because of work or something....But I would buy from him again.....He will talk to you on the phone...I asked a lot of questions and he had no problem answering them..
Try calling him....

I have met Singerinak on a few different occasions, as well as purchased an '06 Chris Nitti from him last March. He is a stand up guy and I had no problems. Definitely try calling him...

Gerald, as i stated in the email i sent you earlier today i am not comfortable sending an expensive cue to anyone that i haven't dealt with in the past for Escrow.

I have been a member of AZ for almost 6 years and have sold over 200 cues and other billiard products.

As you can see in your post here, people are giving you there input as to the kind of person i am and my character.

I am sorry if your not okay with my hesitency of sending my cue for possible sale, if i were new to the forum as yourself then i would look at it as this is the only way to do business until i establish myself, however thats not the case here.

I will again extend the offer that if you are ever in Las Vegas you are welcome to come and inspect any of the cues that are currently for sale.

Regards..

Gerald, i think you need to learn how to use the forums, if you will look at my ITRADER you will see that i made right on the JW deal, as i was selling that cue for a local player here in Las Vegas and was unaware that the pin on the cue was bent, and i payed for it to be repaired.

First time I ever heard a disparaging word concerning 'singernak'. He has always been considered one of the 'good guys'. I do not think he is out of line for asking for an escrow sale....you are new to the forums and there have been a LOT of rip-offs here lately. If he is willing to split the cost of escrow, which is common...then what is the issue? If it were me, and I was dealing with a new member, I would be making the same request.

I think you have it backwards. The buyer wanted to use escrow, singernak did not. At least that's how I read it.

I dunno. seems like a misundertanding to me. That escrow service is well established as far as I know.

In general it seems the rule around here is that if you are new you follow what the more established person wants as far as how the deal should go down.

Taking a quick look at itrader and playing devils advocate the dude "singernak" has done 30 deals here and 3 have left bad feedback......How does one respond to that? Like I said just trying to see where the "one of the good guys" mentality comes from. This deal is possibly issue 4 that we know about.

Search the name and a few other "disparaging" words come up.....As i Said I have no dog in the fight but 30 deals and 3 bad ones that we know of and I would be using escrow for both parties.

standup guy

HI
ITS JEFF HERE I WAS THE GUY WHO BOUGHT THE JOSSWEST WITH THE BENT PIN AND AS I SAID BEFORE CHRIS TOOK CARE OF THE COST OF THE REPAIR. ALSO AFTER THAT WAS STRAIGHTENED OUT WE DID ANOTHER TRANSACTION AND ALL WAS SMOOTH. SO I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT BY THE LOOKS OF THINGS FROM MY VEIW CHRIS HAS PROVEN HIMSELF AS WHAT WE LIKE TO CALL ONE OF THE "GOODGUYS". I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DEAL WITH CHRIS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. TO ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS........PLAYHARD :thumbup:JEFF

good deals here

I and a close friend have dealt with Singernak and have had nothing but smooth (and good) transactions.
So what is for sale in this thread?
Karl
