Molecular tests (also called PCR tests, viral RNA tests, nucleic acid tests)

How is it done? Nasal swabs, throat swabs, and tests of saliva or other bodily fluids.

What does the test look for? Molecular tests look for genetic material that comes only from the virus.

What about accuracy? False negatives — that is, a test that says you don’t have the virus when you actually do have the virus — may occur. The reported rate of false negatives is as low as 2% and as high as 37%. The false positive rate — that is, how often the test says you have the virus when you actually do not — should be close to zero. Most false-positive results are thought to be due to lab contamination or other problems with how the lab has performed the test, not limitations of the test itself.

A molecular test using a deep nasal swab is usually the best option, because it will have fewer false negative results than other diagnostic tests or samples from throat swabs or saliva. People who are in the hospital, though, may have other types of samples taken."

A big factor is the type of test (nasal, throat, saliva etc.)
Most false positive results are due to lab contamination or procedures, and not limitations of the test.

So if you get the test done at Bob's Bait Shop, it might not be a good test, unless Bob has upgraded his lab facilities recently.

CJ: Who was the inventor of the PCR test that you spoke to? Do you have his name?
Yes, here's his name, although I never said I talked with him, I saw his interview, he died last year..... here's other interesting studies on the subject:

Kary Mullis - who was awarded a Nobel Chemistry Prize - has always stated that the RT/PCR test being used worldwide by the WHO and government health agencies to test for COVID 19 was never to be used for infectious diseases.

In this short video he explains why and says that - using certain protocols or "tweaking" the RNA sequences - they can come up with any result they want. The World Health Organization and governments worldwide (funded by Bill Gates et al) are engaged in a massive global deception against all peoples, to destroy the global economies and impose a tyrannical planetary regime and full spectrum dominance through surveillance systems designed to control our every move. Lockdowns, facemasks, social distancing and mandatory RNA vaccines with digital tattoos. All based on a hoax test and skewed statistics.

Are you angry yet? You should be.

You're fighting a losing battle here. We have a population of people who prefer alternate facts to what is already obvious and well known to be true. That is the world we live in today, thanks to you know who.
Jay if that is true why is the race so tight tonight? According to the pollsters and the media it was gonna be totally different. The media has zero credibility based on their own actions.

All depends on which media you are referring to? You can't paint them all with the same brush. You have Fox News on one end of the spectrum and CNN on the other, and many in between these two. Most polls are done independent of the media and the results just reported to them afterwards.

Fox is an outlier for the most part. Most of the Media Entertainment Industrial Complex have massive investments in China and hate Trump.

I would say that 95% of media slants left. Think of the LA Times and the NYTs. The lords of Silicon Valley have placed large bets in China and hate Trump. Most folks have realized the media is full of propaganda.

I can add a little bit to the discussion as I have had my brain tickled every week for several months now(3 months) I Have been seeing a specialist for other health issues and he "offers/requires" everyone that comes in a Covid Test as part of the appointment cost. He tells me the test will sometimes pick up traces of the virus in the nose area of a healthy patient and show up as a positive. Some may develop full blown symptoms..some don't. The test is not perfect! ALL Positives are retested the next day and again if symptoms show up. Anyone that tests positive is notified and told to double down on mask wearing, avoiding crowds, stay home etc. until there is confirmation.

A few things:

1) No one should blame Skinny Bob's for holding the event. They worked very hard to make things as safe as possible and ran a great event!

2) The brain tickling test SUCKS. It hurts. I have bled some afterwards.

3) I tested negative everytime!

4) My reason for seeing the specialist is much better now.

5) The masks are not perfect but they do cut down on how much exposure a person gets to Covid. If a person who was wearing masks regularly actually gets Covid the mask wearer often gets a lower Viral load. This means they may not get as sick as they would have otherwise.

Most of what I read and heard on TV was how close the race was going to be. The polls don't tell the whole story. We saw that four years ago when H. Clinton won the popular vote. From what I have seen this race will come down to who wins the so called Battleground states.

I respectfully disagree with you. The "media" is in reality a population of journalists, most of whom are very competent about reporting the news as unfiltered as possible. Then we have the "talking heads" on various news networks that are there to offer their opinion about things. That is where most misinformation emanates from.

I think your position does not reflect reality. Going back in time folks bought newspapers to influence policy in their direction. What is different today is that the media companies are transnational giants that worship at the alter of stock valuation.

You've got a sort of white socks and blue ribbon beer perspective. Do you think Jeff Bezos bought the WAPO with no agenda?

My point remains - A rich man can buy a newspaper or a TV network, but it's a lot harder to "buy" all the journalists who work there. Many REAL journalists have a conscience and a desire to report the facts! Of course, they stand the chance of being fired if the publisher/owner objects to their reporting but that rarely happens, except maybe on Fox. :)

One more thing. I only wear white socks when exercising and I don't drink beer! I prefer Amaretto and Ginger Ale, oh yeah!

You live in some alternate universe. I would bet you've never even read a bio on say William Randolf Hearst. There was a ton of " yellow " journalism in the past and so many papers were totally partisan.

The LA Times under the Chandlers was totally Republican and that is the way it was. Today's LA Times is slanted far left. The idea that journalists have editorial freedom is BS. The LA Times just went through a purge where they fired Norman Pearlstine.

Jay, to your credit you know a lot about the history of pool players but I would be surprised if you know much about history.

Everyone I know that tested positive went back right away and get tested again - all three tested negative the next day. The PCR test they use, according to the man that invented it, should not be used and is not accurate. He mysteriously died the beginning of this year, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence.
I don't think your considering the incubation time of Covid. Once exposed it can take two weeks or more for an individual to test positive. A person could be spreading it during that time without even knowing they have the virus...

Very true. You can be a spreader fairly quickly. Well before any symptoms arise.

I live in this "Alternate Universe" and a little history lesson for you. There have been 910 Pulitzer Prizes awarded for Journalism in various categories! There have also been 95 Pulitzer Prizes awarded to various newspapers around the United States! Kind of shoots your argument to Hell, doesn't it. Yes, there have been many cases of "yellow" journalism, but to ignore all the good writing and reporting that has been going on for the last century is a bit slanted.

Jay you are really stepping in it. Joseph Pulitzer was one of the kings of " yellow " journalism. The idea that the media is sacrosanct is stupid.

If you can't see that American media is compromised there is nothing that one can do for you. One example is 90% of the media is not even doing their jobs and reporting what is going on in their own country. Look how wrong they've gotten the last two elections. Print media is on its last legs and broke.

The days of fat newspapers with great writing is going the way of the clipper ships. That being said, I asked you before, why the richest man in the world bought his own newspaper and you didn't answer my question.

I will answer my own rhetorical question because you probably won't. Jeff Bezos bought that WAPO for political reasons just like he bought a huge DC mansion that he is never in. Amazon now gets huge contracts from the US government.

I'm happy for you that you are so well informed and willing to share your knowledge with us who are much less informed than you. I had no idea that all our esteemed journalists had been so tainted until now. I'm sure that also goes for our most famous televisions reporters like Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley, Douglas Edwards and Frank Reynolds. You really have opened my eyes here. I will never believe Carl Bernstein or Bob Woodward again. It's also great that you are able to read minds and tell us what wealthy people are thinking and what their motives are. Not many of us are so gifted as you. From now on when I want to know about something I will not bother searching the internet or watching any television news channels. I will search you out on here to tell me the truth. After all you are the Overlord, in charge of all things. A million thank yous! :)

Wow, reading your post made me twinge a lot. I had the corona test once, as required before my knee surgery in July. I almost cancelled the whole surgery because I didn't want that test. I know myself and I wouldn't be able to handle that test. I cried during the test, no lie. I wouldn't wish that test on anybody. My biggest fear if Biden makes it through is that he's going to make the whole country test every week.
