Snapped off two tourneys this weekend!

Hi all,

It has been a while since I won a tourney and I snapped off two this weekend.

The first was on Friday night. It was an 8 (rating) and under 8-ball tourney. About 30 people. I won my first two matches, lost my 3rd and came back through the B side and double dipped they guy to win the whole thing.

The second was on Saturday. It was a scotch doubles tourney. 15 teams. My partner and I won the hot seat and ended up playing the team we beat for the hot seat. They had to beat us twice and after sitting for 2.5 hours we came out very rusty in the first set and lost it 7-2. We won the 2nd set 7-2 and took 1st place.

All in all it was an awesome weekend and I am super happy. Just thought I would share it with you all. Happy New Year!

Hey dude!

Congrats! You've really been working hard on your game, and you've come a long way. This looks to be a good sign amongst many future ones to come. You got me last time, but I look forward to our next meeting when I'm at full strength... ;)

Thanks man - I have been working really hard. I am hoping to be raised to an 8 soon. Then I will have accomplished my first goal of 2008. :) By the way - after the last few weeks there is quite a line of people looking forward to playing me again. :D

Thanks bud - You and Sheldon were the toughest team we played in the tourney. I knew once we beat you two that we had a very very good chance of winning the whole thing. How did you end up teaming up with Sheldon if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks, I think the last meeting was about a month ago so the next one will be in two months or so. They have them every 3 months.

Nice to snap off two wins in one weekend, isn't it? Sounds like you're practicing alot and it's finally paying off. Hope you keep shooting well and continue to up your game! Good luck, and shoot straight!

Thanks Scott. It has already paid for itself :) I have not even incorporated everything we went over but lots of people including myself are noticing the imporvement in my game just in the last month.

I was thinking about calling you Saturday morning to see if you were looking for a partner and then got caught up doing work and couldn't get out.

Good job, BVal. One of the best things you can do for your game is just get out there and play in everything you can afford (money and timewise).

It looks like you are starting to do this and it has already started to pay dividends. Keep it up and you will attain your goals quicker than you think.
