So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

You had 18 players in your numbers before.

Here is the numbers I used when looking at this thing:

They have six matches a week. One on Thursday, one on Friday, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. There are six players in each match so they pay 36 players per week.

Now let the fun begin...I will round off numbers for expediency

36 players x $1000 = $36,000

Production staff of four people @ $1200 each (Producer + 3 Camera Ops and my bet is the producer makes more) = $4800

Referee (totally guessing here but I will say $200 a day) = $800

Bonus ball girls for the week = $1000

Random staff for letting people in selling booze and merch = $1500

Commentator = $1000

Photographer = $800

So a rough estimate of just staffing costs without considering any other overhead comes to: $45,900 per week.

Divide your rent, electric, insurance, consumables and other monthly expenses by four and you will easily get enough to push that number to the $50K I mentioned.

It is a brutal nut to try and make.

I used 40K a week and it didnt work, then i tried 20K, then $10k. Long story short at around $900/wk, we possibly have a viable enterprise. So a little trimming and we are good to go.

Really? Here's my reps for the past 10 days. I don't feel despised one iota. :p

You take my post out of context without providing the post I was responding to. Good contribution to the Bonus Ball thread! ;)

How do you check reps or give reps I have never figured this out

thx

On the left-hand side of each post in a thread, you see a green plus sign in the shape of a box. You click that and it gives you the option to post good rep (green) or bad rep (red). You can write a comment limited to so many characters, kind of like a Tweet.

To see your rep, go to the top of the forum software and click "USER CP." This will display the rep you have received as well as the person who wrote it to you. They usually provide a comment. HTH! :)

I'd rep you to show you, but I've run out of my daily allotment of giving out reps. I have to wait till tomorrow! :o

You go to the user control panel (user cp) and you can see the rep right there. To give rep you click on the green plus button at the bottom left of each post.

edit: wow, that was quick! :)

haha, just need to trim a little fat.

Glad you hid the identities to protect the innocent! I think one of those may have been mine.

Those are all green reps after you gave me yours. Yours is older and is not on that view portion anymore. IOW, those were given to me since you gave me yours.

I have my detractors on this forum, but I also have friends as well as green reps given to me by members I don't even know. I try to remember this as I pore through posts written by male chauvinist pigs, women abusers, trolls, banned members with new identities, and multiple-identitied posters.

I'll bet he's sleeping right now. They were up late, and they're on Vegas time. ;)

He might be sleeping but Dave was up early to go golfing this morning with Appleton. It's funny, for all these 130 hour weeks, they sure do have a lot of off time and partying to post about on facebook. 168 hours in a week - 130 hours working = 5 hours a day to sleep/party. hmmmm.... Maybe my calculator is broken.

I guess their names were in the hat when BB picked out which people they could afford to pay? :grin-square:

On a good note, I saw that Fast Lenny posted on OnePocket.org this morning, so he's okay. :)

I did not know cameramen made that kind money. Wow!

In the professional world, if you make less than 2k/week running a camera, you're a beginner. Normally 600-800/day, sometimes more. Nathan, being the producer of a multi-million dollar project, 3k/week sounds about right.

I'm in the wrong business. :embarrassed2:

That's a comfortable income, no matter what part of the country you live in.

This is why she's the most despised poster in history of AZB. Half of every thread is her yapping on and on and on ad nauseum.
She has 1 or 2 supporters who clearly are delusional.

After reading your previous posts written on this forum, I am grateful to not have you as a forum friend.

I liked watching Bonus Ball. Good game and concept. The numbers will not work here in the US. They take the concept to Asia, and they may have a winner.

What are your thoughts on how they expected to cover those expenses + earn a profit?

A T.V. deal? Perhaps they had one lined up if they could have shown they had generated so many ppv buys?

I think it comes down simply not knowing the market.

TV deals do not work the way many people think they do.

I chalk a lot of it up to simple arrogance and ego.

wozers! thanks for the green reps people I never seen them until now. amazingly I have no red reps or maybe I am missing them

No, if you had red reps, you would see them. If you get a grayish-blue color for a rep, that means that member who wrote it is a "newbie." You can't give green and red reps until you have so many posts, I think.

So you're all green! Good for you! :)
