I actually welcomed you back earlier today, but I guess you missed that post.
I'm not sure what I'm spamming, other than I have a different opinion than you, but if you want to label me a spammer and a troll, be my guest. My identity here is known, unlike you. Now, go give us some more of those positive BB threads! You have so much to write about, I'm sure.
That's odd, she has been right on almost everything in this thread. Guess you BB supporters are the delusional ones and just can't handle the truth about it. It was a fail from the beginning, they obviously lied about it, it's the IPT all over again, it has no future unless some dummy millionaire dies and puts BB in his will. Keep on dreaming and calling the realists delusional. It might make you feel better about yourself.
I wonder how many of you big supporters of it even bothered to buy the yearly package to help support it? Yeah, I know it hurts when you find out others were right and you backed the loser in this. But constantly harping against those that were smart enough to see it in the beginning and warn everyone isn't the answer to solve anything. You backed the wrong side, get over it.

I heard through the grapevine they were supposed to be paid in full today, but now that date has been pushed up. Some of the BB players have threatened to walk if they don't get paid in full.
Similar to the IPT? Well, in some ways, it is worse. What is sad about the players this time is that they have actually moved to Vegas for this venture, only to see it crash and burn before it takes off.
I follow NASA pretty regularly. They have subbed out their manned spaceflight missions to commercial entities. Before a launch, everything is gone over to the nth degree. If something looks wrong, they postpone the flight. Quite the opposite has happened with BB. As we can now see, they are making it up as they go along, i.e., rescheduling willy-nilly that hurts American promoters, changing their start dates, and now the players not getting paid.
Remember when the IPT said they would be saved by the gambling magnate Ho? Well, I would venture to guess BB will be coming out with a smoke-and-mirrors similar to this, just to keep those BB players in Vegas.
My homeboys Brandon Shuff and Mike Davis have both moved to Las Vegas. I hope they have enough money to eat and pay their rent wherever they are. Then there are players who moved here from the other side of the pond, like Darren Appleton. They have been singing the praises of BB. Poor Brandon had been stung by the IPT qualifiers as far as his personal investment and now this. Doggone shame!

I better start watching the matches on Youtube ... there was at least one of 'em that I'd like to hire. I'll just give up buying cues to make the room in my budget
Bonus Ball is on hiatus for "a few weeks." Players have not been paid for "a few weeks."
Bonus Ball says construction delays caused financial difficulties.
They are regrouping and figuring out a new platform and will be back in full swing within "a few weeks."
A few BB players are asking the public to support BB. Other BB players are not uttering a peep.
People who paid for subscription matches are going to be refunded monies for the weeks BB will be off the air.
That's it in a nutshell.

AZ Billiards is the greatest brain trust ever assembled in the history of pool. There is more experience here in every facet of business that you can imagine. Yeah, we have our eccentrics, but who doesn't?
Regardless, the hiatus announcement is a direct result of improper marketing from the get go. Whether the game will recover is a big question, but I still believe,as you do, that the focus should be on Asia, not the American Pro Game.

I had posted in the beginning of June about my thoughts on just this very topic. Unfortunately, Bonus Ball didn't PM me and now we see what a pickle they are in,lol. I gave them the darn idea for Free, and what did they do? Ignored me, just like they ignored everybody else on AZ.

I figured six matches, 3 hours a match and maybe $50 an hour for the chicks. I can see it being less. I dont know if they use a model company or hired girls themselves. Its probably ball park though.
I could quote many of you on the game of BB and who is the target audience.
My take on the game is it is a very advanced type of game that will appeal to very good players.
It will NEVER appeal to the beginner or novice.
They are just trying to figure out how to pocket a ball.
So why on earth would anybody think that they will be an interested audience.
They don't even know which end of the cue to chalk according to some.
To me this is the most important downfall fact that will not be overcome.
This should have been thought about.
Beginners won't buy it and only 10% of real pool people will buy it.
Not close to being enough to support the dreams of BB and the management.

BUT mostly sorry to the traditional games that were not given consideration for a venture of this magnatude.

What is even more hilarious is that whenever the issue of BB players not playing in the Tunica and Vega$ events, the auto response from Nathan was that we are all a bunch of idiots and they just can't shut the BB mega machine down for a few weeks. There is rent and bills to pay, yada yada. And now, they have done just that.
