I don't want to stir any crap here.But the thead "About Bval's wife last night was totally UNCALLED foR!I hope to god the guy is banned.:mad: I have no idea how this thread lasted as long as it did.:confused:
Its time to CLEAN up this forum,we all banter each other,argue,and of course AGREE with each other,thats what a forum is all about, BUT to PERSONALLY attack someone on here is just UNACCEPTABLE!!!
It's great to talk to people who ALL love the game.we all have our own opinions.You all know my opinion on certain subjects(Earl):D and I know some of yours,it makes the whole forum FUN.so LETS keep it that way!
BUT, To personally attack someone. its NOT good for anyones day.So lets keep it civil.please!

I second that....never been so pissed on this forum before. I know Bval was pissed about this and he had every right to be. I understand the moderators can't be on here 24 hours, but I feel some posts and threads recently have gone beyond the pale of acceptable in a public forum.

I also feel terrible for BVal, an esteemed and valued member of our AZB family. The thread was shocking. No such thread should ever be allowed here on our forum. To BVal and his lady, my condolences on this disgraceful occasion.

Nonetheless, I feel that, at the risk of offending BVal and others, it needs to be pointed out that BVal himself made his lady's body an issue here on the forum. I recall one of his avatar's in which (while embracing him) she appeared to be nude in which his AZB caption was, if memory serves, "only appears to be naked." BVAL's choice to include sexually provocative glimpses of his lady in his avatar was not, on the surface, unreasonable, but AZB history has shown that such an approach may lead to tasteless, sometimes even disgusting, reactions from other posters. Sad, but true.

i couldn't agree more. that was totally out of line.

it is one thing to have disagreements, because opinions very and we all have them and it would be nice if they could be kept civil (which sometimes is tough to do), but personal attacks are wrong, and going after ones loved ones is WAY over the line.

i'm sure anyone who has spent some time in pool rooms or bars knows that using someones family in such a way in those places might not only get you punched out but might get you killed.

bottom line this was wrong.

BVal, although i really don't know you my feelings are with you and yours.

That absolutley was not and never would be something that I do. I think you have me mixed up with somebody else. I have only had two avatars on here and neither of them showed anything close to being nude or naked. I respect my wife too much to do something like that. For the small percentage of people out there that cannot handle themselves in public and control their mouth I am changing my avatar.

That thread was way over the line and I removed it as soon as I got home last night.

The person who started the thread was also permanently banned.

That's the smart thing to do. Protect those you love. That's a mans responsibility... among many others. Life is made up of many individual experiences and you just had one. :)

One thing for sure, after watching the events unfold pertaining to this thread, it is gratifying to see how many great pool folk do really exist in the AzBilliards family of posters. Though the incident which offended you was difficult, BVal, the outpouring of support you received warms my heart. :)

If you want to shout it from the rooftops that you are happy and in love with your lovely lady, I say use the avatar that you like the best. It is YOUR avatar and should bring you pleasure. To hell with what anybody else thinks. JMHO, FWIW!

Hey Maniac,

That did not offend me because I could tell it was meant with a light heart. I think I even responded to you in a joking way. The biggest thing with the other guy was he did it once and I told him that it offended me and it was crude and he did it 3 or 4 more times (a couple in another thread) and then started a new thread with a poll. All I did was asked him to take responsibility for the terrible thread he started against Scott Lee and in turn he started attacking my wife. I have read a lot of your posts and enjoy a lot of what you have to say. No need to apologize.

I missed the thread, but why not give some mod powers to some of the veteran posters, it probably would've been taken down very quickly and the troll wouldn't be getting so much attention.
