Alright..it's less then a month a way!! Who's going? Do you have anything your planning on buying?

The items on my list are...

1)sledgehammer break cue.... I have the lightning break cue and I'm not totally sold on it.

2) Get my Schon a leather wrap.

3) New case..I want something leather. The case I have now is nice but I want more protection and I don't want to go back to my 20 year old it's george case. lol that thing is like carrying around a small vw. It's heavy!

I'm convinced that the expo is the closest to heaven I'm ever gonna get!!

I'm going...and I have no idea what to expect.

I've never even had the opportunity to attend anything like this until now, and yet I'll be running a booth this year. Could be a bit overwhelming. :p

If I don't have a gig that Saturday night, then I'm going to try to make it.

I look forward to it every year, but something always seems to screw up my plans.

I'm going. Gone last seven years. I really enjoy it. The vendors are friendly. The cues are works of art. It is like being at a musuem looking at works of art.
So much to look at. So much buy. Too little money. The only thing I know I want to buy is a cue extension. I know I will find something else to spend my money on.
The cost of the convention and entry into to pro arena are both very reasonable for what you get.

Ive been to every one.
Even the first one in New Jersey.
It helps to only be about an hours drive away.

Mike Howerton and I will see all of you there! We will be doing a free live video stream of the pro event and will be in the vendor area when the matches are quiet.

I cant wait for SBE. Nothing really on my list to buy, but Im sure I'll find a way to lose all of my money!

I'll Be There

I hope I play well in the Open Amateur and I'm looking forward to a good steak while meeting a bunch of AZ'ers at Sullivan's on Friday night.

Im going to go next year for sure, with some cash. Id be there this year if the damn dog didnt need leg surgery:rolleyes: That could have been a decent Ginacue

I got plans to attend with Sly my son and a few friends have never been does anyone know the prices and such to get in ... What all I will need to carry with me . Not sure what I will buy heck everything I ever wanted or needed to buy has been available here on AZ... Dude Imagine going to a big mall..but every store is selling pool stuff. lol it's freaking heaven. Gambling and tournament play going on non stop. Seriously if this is your first year It's a lot to take in lol I was so cranked up my first year I have no idea how I made a ball in my first match in the amature let alone beat the guy. :D

trob said it right. last year was my first SBE and i was in absolute awe of the magintude of the two floors. have to admit petroni banging his head on the table was unbeliveable. anyone who has any interest in pool will be in "hog heaven"

The wife and I will be there like always!.....My best friend is tight with Allen, so we get some fun perks, and get to hang with a legend. He's always introducing us to the Pros.....couple years ago I got to meet/ talk with Petey Margo!....way COOL legend!

In between trips to the pit, and checkin out cues we can be found at Chumleys upstairs.....or the Blue Grotto.

hope to see you all there.

G.

I have to completely agree with this. I've been there most years, and will be again this year. Look for me in the Stealth Cues booth. Stop by, introduce yourself, and get a free jump lesson (using our jump cue), on the spot!
I'll be there all four days, and have time for a few private lessons. Anyone interested can pm me.

King the cost of seeing the pros play is $12 for bleachers and $20 for the vip seats. If you plan to watch the pros for 3 or 4 hours the extra money is worth it.
Get a bottle of something to drink at the local convenience store. You'll save a few bucks. I usually bring lunch the first day. Bring a camera. There is much to photo. You never know who you will run into.
Don't leave valuables in your car. They have had some problems in the past. Hopefully they have improved security.
CASH ONLY to get into the convention and to pay for the pro events. Most vendors take plastic. I think the cost of getting into the convention is about $15 for one day, $25 for days and maybe $40 for the whole convention. You can check these prices on the web site.

It was nice to meet you, your wife and ray last year. This year I hope to have a lot more spare time. See you at the bar, I'll hear that you run a clinic at the table so the drinks are on me.

I saw you there last year, and didn't come up to say hi because you were teaching somone how to jump. Didn't realize you had vested interest, this year I know where to find you.
SW<--needs jump help

Cannot wait for the expo!!!! No matter where I am in the world I NEVER miss it and have been going for years.

I heard there was an "AZB ROOM" at the show. I never heard of this and if someone knows about it can you please pm me the details? There's a lot of great folks on here I'd like to meet.

Thanks, John

I am planning on attending. I am hoping that my schedule will allow it. Really wanted to make it to Sullivan's. Disappointed that I cant.:(

Last year, for three days I wore a patch that said azbilliards kaznj. People either asked me if I worked for azbilliards or what the patch meant. I met only one person who introduced himself as a member of this forum. I had hoped to meet some other members by identifying myself.
