SVB - Efren Match

Low pool IQ.....

this is just to show you how weak shane game is, He has not the balls to to challenge any of the younger one instead pick a guy who has been through health problem and has aged. effy's game is not like it used to be and shane has the balls to challenge. how about lee van van or ronnie or dennis let see if his game can keep with this three. it is a shame that shane wants to measure his game with the like of effren.

I ALMOST hit the "red rep" button for the very first time ever. Your "Airborne" avatar pic stopped me.

That post is too stupid to think you're serious. You had to have put it out there as bait.

BTW, what would you have posted about Efren had he WON??? That he was picking on a newbie???

I see why your rep is ALL RED. Your comments are rediculous.

This is a nice thread created by Shane's grandfather and you come in here and try and piss on it. You're a jerk.

Sorry to have to ask this, but does the "20 Big Ones" refer to 10K put up by each player? That would only be 10 Big Ones won, as I see it....

I see this so much on that TV program, "High Stakes Poker"....
There might be 20K in the pot, and player A bets 10K, player B folds, and the commentator says player A wins a $30,000 pot.....it's misleading...

20 per player

..because last year at the DCC, Shane staying up all night, night after night, playing guys like Hennessee and Little Alex didn't prove anything? Word is Shane was looking forward to Dennis being here this year.....the more red rep to you the better!

The reality is that Shane HAS challenged the young filipino champions, beating some and losing to others. He may be the only American in recent years to have the gumption to take on anyone and everyone, with no talk of spots or multiple games.

Efren is certainly still respected as a "Tier One" player in the Philippines, meaning he is one of the elite players over there. Only five or six players are in this category. At One Pocket and Rotation, he may still be the best in the world.

The next logical choice for Shane right now would be Francisco, who just got knocked out of the Fatboy last night. Lee Van still has to play in the final tonite against Ralf.

My question would be why shouldn't Shane play a player who is willing to gamble high with him at a game Shane thinks he can win. In case you didn't know, that is how we keep score. And Shane ALWAYS knows the score!

Congrats to Shane and his family!

He hung in there & never gave up tailing three games frequently. He took the heat well.

For those that did not watch, Shane THREE FOULED EFRREN! :)

I would love to see Shane rematch with Lee Van. I think Shane is supposed to win that one despite the video of his match in the Phillipines posted on youtube. If you haven't watched it, check it out. Also, Shane played Alcano at the US Open action room on TAR. Shanes not afraid.

Thanks for stepping up for us fans Shane!

Hmmm, how pathetic is that!!!!

Well, 82nd Airborne patch is nice.....but I can say for a fact, you cant base a persons character from just a patch. If you are going to proudly display an 82nd patch, then in my mind you should be respectful over every American! Comments like this have absolutely no place on here or anywhere else....

All I can say is for everyone to not judge anyone in the Us Military because of 1 persons views...

And in this case....that post was truely pathetic!

I have to give red rep simply because this person does not represent most of what the rest of this forum to me feels. And rediculous remarks like that to a Grandfather of one of the best players in the world is absolutely moronic!

Congradulations Shane!

Will any of the Europeans play? Appleton, Mika, Neils, Ralf ?

Too bad Stevie Moore would never play, that would be a great match as Stevie has put on the best display of break and run 10 ball in the last few years.

An Oasis must be living in a cave - it has already been noted that of the Alex-SVB matchups. I have also seen SVB play Orcullo, 8 ball on a bar table in Vegas and I believe he played Lee Van over in the Phillipines (I am sure Jay could clarify as I might have it wrong).

You must be the only moron on the planet to think that efren reyes is one who could be picked on. He's the greatest player of all time buddy. Challenging efren to gamble is NEVER an easy. You managed to insult the two best players alive in one post.

I think Shane respect Efren so much that he wanted to play him for a set...its a dream come true for shane that he played with one of the best in pool history..not because shane is weak or scared to play with the young guns...shane is capable of beating any good players IMO..

why is most of his matches 10ball.he hardly ever plays any one 9ball.

the soft break killed 9ball. 10ball makes you give an honest break...and shane has a killer one.

Congratulation to Shane. The score says Efren can still play.
