Szamboti's

 What is your estimate that the colletion is worth????????? Very Nice!!!

To give an acurate estimate, I would have to add up everything I have spent on these cues and everytime I do that I have to stop because I start crying! :)

To tell you the truth I have never figured out what they are worth because I am never planning on selling them.

As I was getting the cues out for the pictures my 11 year old daughter was helping me and I was explaining a lot of the history behind the cues. I told her one day they would probably be hers. If I ran into severe financial difficulty I would obviously sell them.

John, you need to establish a $ value for each cue along with a picture and keep the info in a safe place. I just went through this with my homeowners carrier and it is highly recommended in case of a loss. Dave

I agree with Badabing completely. Get an apprasial done by a another partie along with websites showing what there selling for. Submit it and get special coverage. Nice collection, one of the best I have seen.

I must admit I have a thing for Gus and Barry's cues! I have bought a few recently and thought I would post a picture of them all together.

I have a couple more coming in, so when those come I will pull them all out for some more pictures.

The cue on the far left is GSB #1, which as most of you probably know was started by Gus and finished by Barry. The next four are Barry's and the rest are his Dads cues.

The two tone shaft was made for the cue on the far right and according to Barry was the only one his Dad ever made, he called it the "Magic Wand".

I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do! :D

Hi John,
You have a wonderful collection.. Thanks for sharing the pictures..
There just isn't anything better then a SZAMBOTI..
Best,

John,

That is a collection of 10 lifetimes - just wonderful. The quality of Szamboti cues is only rivaled by the quality of their collectors!

Thanks for the compliments! Here are the pictures of the Balabushka's that I bought when I sold the Barry. The two on the right were the ones that I bought at Valley Forge last year.

The only reason that I sold that Barry was because I needed the cash for that transaction. To this day that is the only Szamboti that I have ever sold, but if I decide to sell another I will give you a chance at it.
John

I will assume your collection must span years of effort and possibly endless searches. That search must be pure enjoyment when you find something new to compliment the existing collection. That must be very true of the Balabushka's on the day you found them. To think you gave up only one of the Szamboti cues to get the two Bushka's is nice to know (reminds me how few opportunities do come along for someone like me to pick up a gem of a Barry that I received). Your Bushka's are just incredible and I do appreciate that you posted pictures of them. Cannot begin to imagine what else may be hidden away (twins and all).

I do hope your collection continues to grow and hopefully new pictures will come to the gallery to enjoy. I will be looking forward to the new additions when they come.

John,
Just damn amazing... glad to see they are stateside. But they are awesome. You cannot possibly have one favorite in a collection like this.

simply amazing

Congrats on establishing such a great collection. So what is your daily driver?

Am I the only one wincing at the fact that these cues are rarely (if ever? I'm guessing) played? Truly amazing collection, but they should be hitting balls.

I could help you out with that. Guaranteed I'll hit a couple thousand balls with any szam you send me.
