TAR Presents Free Live Coverage of the U.S. Open 10 Ball May 18-22

AND my money is on Efren......MAN,if he could snap this one off he would be king of the f-ing UNIVERSE.

With all the big names, + 8 women, + being streamed by TAR free I hoping there will be a LOT of action on this tournament in the Action Room Forum here on AZ. Johnnyt

PS:Again, thanks to Mark G., TAR, and all the rest that are making this event possible.

The tag team of TAR, Sullivan, Petersen and Griffin will bring pool to where we want it. (names provided in no particular pecking order!) (and I'd like to see Helfert, JoeyA, Walsh, Jewett and Sapolis on that team)

They have the vision, the integrity, the energy, the fan base, and the power to make it happen.

I guess you could call that my dream team.

Jim,

I appreciate the compliment, but I really don't see that in my future. Hopefully, over the past several years the right people have been able to use some of my suggestions and move forward with them. Personally, I have no more input to give, and I have stepped aside.

In this world, there are two kinds of people: There are people with brilliant ideas. Then there are people with brilliant ideas with the means and the resources to make them a reality.

I'm just a guy with ideas. I don't even consider them brilliant. I just hammer my ideas home with some brutal common sense mixed with rigorous honesty. I don't have the resources - and if I did, honestly... I wouldn't gamble it on the future of pool. I figure that if my help is needed, someone will pick up the phone and ask for it. I haven't talked to anybody in a very long time, which means they are getting along just fine without me. That's my cue to sit back, shut up, watch, and learn.

And where in the world is this event happening.. other than on TAR. I mean.. if I wanted to physically attend this thing.. where would I go? ... and what hotel?

I'll never be able to get away but if ...........

What a great deal, thanks TAR an OB cues. I think it will be great to own a OB I hear this is going to be the secret weapon of 2010. Thanks again, Skip :):)

US Open 10-Ball

As mentioned, this event (not a world event) will be held in conjunction with the BCAPL National Championships.

The previous post has an error since there are 112 paid players in the event - not the 104 listed. $89,000 pay day with 25% of field paid.

Here is the link to the event program (it is an e-zine) with all the info needed - including ticket prices for both pro events. http://issuu.com/hollyryancsi/docs/...issuu.com/v/light/layout.xml&showFlipBtn=true

With over 7,000 actual different contestants competeing in 22 disciplines and 2 pro events (64 man field World Pool Masters and US Open 10-Ball), this 34th annual event is going to be the best ever.

Don't forget the Grand Master division. World champions playing race to 7 - alternating break - on a 7' Diamond table. This is awesome and last year had 7 world champions among the 60 or so players (men & women divisions) that played.

The whole event is FREE admission except the pro events. Held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino from May 12 - 14. The amatuer events basically start on the 14th but World Pool Masters start on 12th.

Come and join us!!

'cause that's how CSI rolls! Thanks Mark --- great marriage going on here!

Thanks, Bob. Everyone at the CSI has been working on the US 10 Ball Open for a long time and a lot has gone into recruiting the World Champions to our player list.

Mark G is very proud of this inaugural event and wanted the whole pool world to have a chance to experience it. Even for those who could not make the trip to BCAPL National. So after many discussions and lots of budgeting, he is able to bring this feed FREE to every pool fan. Just log on to www.playcsipool.com or www.theactionreport.com

** Another bonus! Watch the free feed of Grand Master Singles Division (approximately 15-17 May) Last year, we had 40 men/ 20 women in our Grand Master with 8 World Champions playing Bartable 8 Ball! It will be an inspiring for every level of players to watch.
*** And did I say again, FREE:thumbup:

Glad to be on board!!!

Can't wait until Vegas, All the fun starting with the World Pool Masters starts in less than a month from today.

We at Runout Media are happy to lend our hand in helping to create what we hope is one of the highest quality streams in the history of pool. We have recently purchased new HD quality camcorders, lighting equipment and a jib which we will be using to make this stream "broadcast quality" with many different camera angles, moving camera shots etc.....

Very excited to hear Runout Media is collaborating with TAR! It's gonna be like TAR on NOS!

Good stuff! I hope this partnership works out. IMHO, I feel that streaming Pool is the best way to bring some mainstream attention to Pool. If you can make the production "broadcast quality" (audio, vid and commentary talent), then maybe, one day, the end product can be pitched to ESPN too!

What's not to like about this whole arrangement. Pluses all the way around! Brings a big ole' felt green smile to my face :D.

Hopefully Eric (my other camera man) and I can pull our weight and really help to raise the bar on this one. Better lighting, better equipment, and more staff are just a few tricks that JCIN has up his sleeve on this one. I'm really happy to contribute.

Finally the little guys of the industry unite :p

You're being modest Nate -- no doubt, with this posse, the bar will rise never to fall again. Everyone involved are top notch!

I am also happy to bring my talents to the table and help make this a great looking event. I have some cool looking graphics in the works for TAR. This should be fun and look great. Im also excited about working with Nathan. I'll need to bump my tattoo game up so I look more legit.

I use stick-ons. They fool just about everyone.
