TAR PROPOSAL - JOE ROGAN vs MANNY PACQUIAO

Here is a proposal that would have international as well as "star" appeal.

Have these two dudes match up in a game with a "pro" coaching each of them.

Manny can have "Efren" (or a Filipino champion of his choice)

Joe HAS TO HAVE "Earl Strickland"

This match has "pool", "drama", "comedy", and lots of other attractions all rolled into one.

When one of my proposals finally gets set up, I'm not even going to charge fees for thinking it up. All I want is pool to get some exposure and what is happening to today's pool world isn't exactly getting broadcast out into the mainstream. Something like this would draw people into the "reality" of pool.

I can see "REAL TV" broadcasting a matchup like this.

In fantasy land, this would be awesome... but I don't think Manny would be willing to play on TAR with their budget.
 
I can just see Joe imitating Earl and Earl tries to instruct him. Hilarious. Actually if Earl was in a good mood this could really be entertaining.

LMAO! This is POOL...not a FIGHT...I don't think Manny is worried about the money. I think he would be more worried about the "MACHISMO" thing. He ISN'T going to let another "fighter" beat his "EXPERTISE" in the pool world. He LOVES pool and this would be an avenue for him to show the world that he has a skill other than boxing.

Great idea but if you can get Efren and Earl involved it should be a partners game, colour of money 2 1/2. It would be a lot better pool with Efren and Earl setting up their partners with much easier shots. It would make Manny and Moe, I mean Manny and Joe look a lot better. Maybe Joe Rogan could set it up if Efren and Manny were in the neighborhood.

Boxing is all fun and games until you get hit. I remember my first amateur fight where I went from the punching bag W/O any ring training. When the guy hit me back I thought "WHF, I didn't think about this part". Johnnyt

LOL! Everybody is thinking of this idea from the "bottom up" instead of the "top down".

Everyone knows Manny loves pool and he idolizes Efren and other professional players from the Philippines. Pool is a MAJOR sport in the Philippines and people from the Philippines are KNOWN for helping one another out.

If somehow the "bug" got put in Efren's mind and "he" approached Manny, it is an offer that I DON'T think Manny would refuse if his time and schedule permitted it.

If Efren "pitched" that it would bring more exposure to the pool world, which IN TURN would help out pool (in general), it would benefit players from the Philippines as well. Manny is always saying he is out to "help" the Philippines' "little people".

Reminds me of a "project" I thought up in the Air Force once. It was a worthy project that saved hundreds of thousands of dollars per year, but the project involved getting rid of a 4-star General's "toys" (a private telephone switchboard dedicated SOLELY to him and his staff). NOBODY thought it would EVER come about and they "drug their feet" all along the way...afraid that the General would be pissed about losing a toy. It took a YEAR for the proposal to get to the TOP and 15 minutes after the General saw the plan, he said, "GOOD PLAN...what is taking so long to close this thing down and save some money?"

I think Manny would go along with the plan if approaced by Efren (or another Filipino player of Efren's stature...if there is such a thing).

You could try another approach. Rent out the Bonus Ball studio and tell Manny he could be the first one ever to sell out a billiard arena. Maybe it's on his bucket list.

There are ALWAYS different ways to look at the "box". I like people who are able to see outside the box and see a potental answer.

I know you meant that as a joke but I believe if he was already in Las Vegas and Reyes was involved he would do it for the enjoyment...He loves pool...Asking him and Reyes to fly over might be a stretch....
