TAR ripped me off - Please read

I Know JCIN and Chad very good and they are 100% honest and trustworthy on ALL levels.

Nobody got ripped off there was miscommunication somewhere.
 
Not in my experience

This is not at all what I have experienced in working with TAR. I have ordered 9 of the 11 dvd sets they have produced, and two of them had a defective disk. I am in the minority as this does not happen often, but I also have terrible luck, so it happened to me twice. I have spoken to Justin and to Chad personally over the phone and through email multiple times. Both times my disks were defective they took care of the problem. The second time I was told it was sent but I never received it. Upon this news, Chad took it upon himself to send me another dvd without prompting from me. I even told him I was not looking for handouts and he sent it anyway.

In talking with both Chad and Justin, I have found their customer service and overall approach to doing business is much greater than what I have seen at every department store I have been to in the past 10 years. In a time when most people could care less if you get what you pay for, TAR is an exception. I would encourage everyone to continue their support, and if it happened like you say, I assure you this is one that unfortunately got lost in the cracks and they will make it right.
 
They are now refunding my money and providing me my DVDs.

So I'm satisfied. I'll probably buy something again as well now since they responded so quickly.

Bval maybe it did't occur to you that I was writing while that response was also being written. Like two ships crossing in the night. But that doesn't excuse the grief and insults that occured. Maybe you should read the mocking above.

I agree Eric. TAR isn't in business to rip people off and they are one of the few who provide a service to the pool players.

It is possible for a few DVD's to be corrupt. It's happened to me. Not from TAR, but from burning DVD's from my own tournaments.

I'm thinking growing pains here. Growth takes a lot of cash and time. 2 things that can screw anything up....time & money.

I wished the TAR guys were perfect, but that will never happen.

I really cringe when I see the "infamous" red thumb down.

TAR ripped me off - Please read????? Give me a break people.

The title should've read :

Fellow AZers - I Need Help with a TAR Purchase . Maybe with a green arrow pointing to the right.

There are many here that would be willing to help. Bashing threads are NO good! Period.

crawl back under your rock! tar has never been anything but fair to anyone that has ever purchased their services. i can remember times when they even showed the life feed matches for free to make up for a technical problem. and if maxeypad or anyone else thinks they can do a better job....we would all love to see it! jmo.
 
everybody is happy now!! its nice to see things resolved in a hour, JCIN, Chad are stand up guys and on their game. And what a one pocket show they had the past 3 days!!!!!! wow.

Maxeypad is happy, we just PM'ed and its all taken care of, nobody is pointing fingers here, there was a small problem, JCIN fixed it and all is good!!!

this is 100% my fault! i just went back in the email history and found your email mike. and you are 100% correct we were at the open and i sent you a response to your email and told you i am an idiot and would get your dvd out when we got home. and i also included that i would send you a free 1 pocket dvd. after the open and the 24 hour drive, i droped the ball, and kicked it by the way. this is waht happened but in no way an excuse. jcin refunded your money and we will be sending out the discs tomorrow. please come see us at the derby and i owe you a drink! it is never and would ever be our intention to rip off anybody. but just like in mikes email i sent him i am an idiot on the computer and screw up things. thats why my phone is always on please feel free to call me at your convienence evan if its 5 am! this is business some people dont have time for their customers. with tar thats all we have is you the customers and we know that! once again i apolagize to mike for the troubles. i hope you will give us another shot. we aprreciate all of you and your support. by the way whats your t shirt size mike! nasty

Ok, I hgate to chime in and or encourage a negative thread but I just got to.
I do not know maxipad and I understand the frustration that comes from getting a defective product. I know that Maxipad comes on here and I have never had a problem and Maxi is buying pool and billiards stuff. This is the kind of person who we need around, a real pool enthusiast that is willing to spend $$. We need more like Maxi on this forum and in the community.
having said that Maxi you know what TAR does and I am sure that you knoiw that TAR are not millionaires from doing what they do. they do it for the love of the game and only hope to cover their expenses.
Your thread title was out of order mate! Its that simple, in another post someone had a suggestion of how it should have read and I agree 100% with that. Again, this is not a personal thing cos u r always a good poster IMO and u r invaluable to the growth and survival of the sport. Just don't slam someone like that who is trying to do good also.
I barely know Chad and Justin so its not like I am backing them cos we are buddies but I respect what they do. I'm out
