Team names

My friend Woody on AZ was a member of the:

WOLF PACK
(pretty cool)

I had a team with a James Dean influence:

Rebels with a Cause
(my idea)

quite appropriate

well, although not all that clever, but absolutely appropriate is my APA team's name "the misfits", believe me we are. lol :grin:

I have to confess, every time I see your avatar I think InHer Thighs :grin:, no offence.
We had a power house team of us old guys (13th in BCA Vegas back years ago out of 600 plus teams) and our team name was Twisters. No reference intended as to a weather condition or the game. :cool: Gosh we had a blast, as I recall....
 
When I played Team 8-Ball at ABC a couple years ago -- there was a team called, "With Themselves"
Thus, the match up was "Bob's team" plays "With Themselves"

One Team 9-Ball Team was named, "Sofa King Great!" (say it fast to yourself, you'll get it!)

Texas Team Four Guys & a Gal

Their 8 ball team name "8 balls and a babe"..........
 
I know a local all woman team who play out of a place named "The Bar"

I thought it was clever..

I believe we played that team at the ISPA Tournament...I think we won but I gaurantee you we didn't beat off in the corner.

Our new team name is Three Centuries because the sum of our ages adds up to more than 300 years. I'd like to still be playing whenb we can change out name to Four Centuries.

Our team name is Pocket This. Shortened because our league operator wont add " ,B!tch! " This name was derived from a local tournament we played in and some guy challenged me to play One Pocket, I was drunk and calmly told the guy I don't like One Pocket, he didn't listen and kept giving me grief, so I stood up and said loudly "Pocket This, B!tch!" (pointing to my groin). We ended up beating them and getting third in the tournament. That moment kinda stood out as a turning point for our team so we adopted that name.

One year at our state tournament, we named ourselves "WHAT???" just for sh!ts and giggles.
 
My favorite is Jesse Bowman's old team.... Shape is Overrated!.... Our team is N.S.B.O.A. .. (no shooting B****es of America)...not only am I a member...I'm the President!
 
Some of my old favorites....

We had a bunch of young kids a few years after Young Guns came out....ie, we were Young Guns

My favorite that I use is "Diesel"

One that always makes me laugh - "IRBSTM" or I'd Rather Be Spanking the Monkey :grin:
 
The other idea that I could never get anyone to buy into was calling a team:

"BYE"

I thought it would be good at large tournements so the other team wouldnt show up to play....

Loss for them and win for us....

Im a sport, just not a good sport.

My team is the Brute Squad...


mainly because we were known for decimating the other teams in nine at one point we were over 100 points ahead of the second place team..


also everybody on the team except the one woman was over 6 foot or close...I don't think i saw a bridge used but maybe 5 times all season...


now if we just had a holocaust cloak..it would be doable...

Absolute Power was my APA 9 ball team name. We went to Vegas 4-5 times, getting 5th in 2001.

We used Wrecking Crew on a BCA team for a couple years, the guys in vegas thought it was funny. Everytime we went to the board the said, "did you guys wreck someone ?" -- lol

Untouchables - over used. one time in vegas APA i saw 9 teams with that name.
