The FATBOY CHALLENGE TEN BALL

Great field Jay.

What are your thoughts of doing an online calcutta? I have been involved with some for Golden Tee and they work great as long as you get the 'right' people involved. A website is used and the bids are all updated thru it.

Or we could just do a blind raffle, say $100 or more a person POSTED and then draw a player out somehow to see who we get. Winner take all.

See this link http://www.0verfiend.com/ben/WorldsCalcutta/

and rules generally used are:

Please remember the One Hour Rule:
? The One Hour Rule: This rule is put into place to squash any attempts to sandbag bids at the last minute.
If a bid is placed in the last hour of the Calcutta (i.e. between 3:00 and 4:00 PM on Tuesday September 9th) then
an additional one hour of bidding time (from the time of said bid) will be added for the player being bid upon.
This will continue to happen as long as the bidding for the player continues.
Example: If someone bids on Graig Kinzler at 3:26 PM on the 9th, Kinzler's deadline will be extended until 4:26 PM. If someone then bids again on Kinzler, at say 4:02 PM, then his deadline would be further extended to 5:02 PM.

? Betting Minimum: Each player will begin with a bet of no less than $10. Each increment bid raised thereafter must be in multiples of $10 per bid.
? Players ? Rights:: Any player purchased has the right to buy half of the bid and split the winnings with the bidder. Midi will not be responsible for collecting 'halfs' of payments! You guys can arrange that amongst yourselves.
? The Field: As stated above, any players not listed on the site after Tuesday, Sept 2nd (there are a total of 604 Americans who have pre-registered) plus anyone who does not receive a bid are included in "The Field" bid.
? Prize Structure:

Main Calcutta Pot:
Four prizes, split will be 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10% of the main calcutta pool

Sign Up: You will be required to register before you place a bid. PLEASE, ONLY USE YOUR REAL NAME!!!
? Email Notification: You will (should) receive an email notification indicating that your bet has been accepted. You will (should) also receive an e-mail notification when someone places an Outbid on a player that you had action on. There have been issues in the past with emails, so please don't rely on them!

Im not here to Volunteer anyone, but it seemed like IBA ran a nice "Fantasy" draft during the ring game. I wasnt able to get in on it becasue of timing, but this would be a cool event to do it on also. Get 4 or 8 people to all post 50/100 then draw for order and pick 4 or 2 horses apiece.

Would be nice for all of us that arent going to get to the derby untill the 26 or those that cant go at all but still want to get a bet down

I would love to be in on this. I missed the ring game pick 'em, but I am going to be at the derby and this would be great to sweat. I think 8 ppl with 2 entries each would be great. At 50 a person, thats a nice little 400 to go home with. If someone wants to head this, count me in.

We have just added Ralf Souquet to the field. It's getting softer all the time! :)
Five spots left.
Yes Jay looking softer all the time. :)

Come on people put a player in! I have mine in, anyone else want to step out?

Bartrum, Bergman, Harriman, Morris, Deuel, Mills, anybody? Where are your names on the list? Get a backer that has a little gamble in him!

Fatboy and Jay have put together a monster event that will feature the who's who of pool today. Do you fit in with these guys?

Should be a great event!

Good to see Mike do well! I remember him visiting the Toronto area with Danny Bassivich many years ago, he played good even then.

I'm guessing that this a privately run side event? (rather than part of the actual DCC).

Who do I contact with questions regarding this mini-tournament?

Thanks in advance.

Where's

HATCH???

I wanna see him in top gear, and IN ACTION.

Somebody put the hatchet man in the box!!!!
