The FATBOY CHALLENGE TEN BALL

I am in Biloxi gambling my ass off. The $10/$25 NL game I sat at last night had about $700,000 on it. Two guys had stacks of hundreds that I've never seen before. They each had about 200K in front of them, ridiculous. I had 15k in front of me and was 2nd short stack but I booked a few thousand winner before the game broke.

Also, Mika will no doubt win since I have him.

If I sat at a table like that I would probably ask them to spare me 10k for a cup of coffee....

the two guys a big drug dealers I was told. Go figure. They have enough cash on them to buy a house and they don't work. they suck at cards, but they are playing so deepstack that basically you have to wait on aces when they raise and shove and then hope they don't get lucky and felt you. It happened a few times to some of the shorter stacks.

1)Vette,make some serious dough at that tourny.Last night I just about took down a 300 player,$20 rebuy tourny on fulltilt.with 12 players left I got pocket KK,some retard beside me called my ALL-IN preflop with 77.And of course the flop came 7-2-9.I would have became chip leader.F**k.It was close to $4,000 for 1st.
2)Stevie Moore "the road player"is going to take this one down.I hope.LOL.:D

Holy smokes,is'nt anyone happy about their picks or wanting to talk about their picks.I wanted svb,Ralf,JA,BUT I'm still happy with Stevie Moore.I'm thinking a road player IS more hungry.I know he is on the tourny trail, but I also think he still has alittle road rash in him.
GO STEVIE.

I took a much needed break yesterday and went to the Hustler and played a $500 NL tourney. I made it to the last two tables (damn it's hard just to make the money) and won $1,000. That was after nine hours of play. I came home and crashed for ten hours. It's too much like work!

Just one question:

Will this tournament be played with the new WPA 10-ball rules with call pocket etc, or the "old" rules?

Sorry, this event is not sanctioned by the WPA. No call pocket. I thought that was for Straight Pool anyway. But I'm new around here. :p

make it bar rules where if you play safe you get cut with a beer bottle. :D

I got Marinez and I am ecstatic:grin-square: He has bad health due to some bad habit of his~... umm, and disappears for a while. Soon, rumors start about how Rafael Martinez died last week an funeral is blah, blah blah... then out of no where, Rafael pops up at a big tourney and snaps it off;)

This guy has much heat and flavor, I like it:thumbup:

We have a small problem gang. Johnny Archer just called me and told me about a special exhibition he has on the 24th in Chattanooga. He will not be able to leave until late that night, and he's driving to Louisville. I think in fairness to the player who might draw him, I will have to withdraw Johnny from the event, since all first round matches are scheduled to be played that night.

These kind of things sometimes happen, and I'm confident that I will have a player to fill his spot in the field. I still feel we will have sixteen players in the Challenge.

So does that mean a complete re-draw?

I think the only fair way to do it is to give Roy his money back and we just play with 11 people or 15 people. A complete redraw is not fair to anyone that already has a player.

We will almost certainly have more players who will sign up on site. How you guys want to deal with that is up to you.

Here is an updated list of players already entered in this event next month at DCC,
for your viewing pleasure:

Darren Appleton
Shane Van Boening
John Morra
Ronnie Wiseman
Alex Pagulayan
Mike Dechaine
Mika Immonen
Stevie Moore
Marcus Chamat
Ralf Souquet
Rafael Martinez

The entry fee is $1,000, with $4,000 Added by Fatboy. We will take a MAXIMUM of sixteen players. That would give us a total purse of $20,000 with $10,000 to the Winner, $5,000 for Second and $2,500 for Third-Fourth. ALL matches are a Race To Fifteen, Single Elimination.

The dates are Jan. 24-26 at night.

Updated list of players. Five spots now open.

Sorry I was in Chicago all weekend and didn't read this til now. I guess Johnny Archer has figured out that exhibitions pay more than tournaments. Jeanette Lee figured it out years ago, it is about time that other pros follow her lead.

We will not redraw. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of all of these players to show up. The only way to get our lil side gamble accomplished was to set it up before hand. That being said the only way to make it fair is to offer Roy a few options:

1. His money back.
2. The #16 player that signs up for the tournament. The 4 people on the wait list will get the next four in line, following their dice roll order. That is only fair to them. Then Roy will get the last player to enter the tournament. I, like Jay, still think that the tournament will fill up.

If anyone else drops out, we will follow the same procedure. Roy should be a little happy as he was wanting to sell Archer last week. He got his wish in a round about way.

Roy - let me know.

p.s. Jay: Thanks for taking the time to keep us all informed.
