Today I decided to go to the pool room to hit some balls.

I was practicing my elbow drop, but I noticed I was getting too much deflection. So I unscrewed my OB-1 shaft and attached my Predator 314. The deflection was reduced, but there was still too much, so I unscrewed my Predator 314 and attached my Predator Z shaft. Aaah. All traces of deflection disappeared.

So then I decided to work on my aiming systems. The balls really weren't dropping. So I switched from CTE to 90-90. Still missing. So I tried switching to shish-ka-bob, still no luck. Then I tried the Grail aiming system while using Perfect Aim and dropping my elbow, and started firing shots in from everywhere!

Just then, an instructor, who was watching me practice, came over to tell me my alignment was off. I told him to get lost; he wasn't a pro player, so how could he possibly help me?

Then I just decided to give up and go home. The best female player Allison Fisher would get killed by the men, and pool will never be an olympic sport, so why bother?
 
You're not suckering me in on this one Jen. I've had my butt in a wringer all this week, so I'm gonna go rest up for a few days. ;)

Karen Corr has been beating men for quite a while now on the Joss Tour.

And, as someone who has been around here for a while, I'd hardly call this the most contraversial AZ Billiards post ever. Whiney? Sure. Contraversial? Not so much.

I know the instructor your talking about, it must have been "Fast" Larry Gunderson Or Fast Larry as he is known!!!:smile:
 
You have very specifically defined the reason pool will never be more than it is and why people go bowling.
 
Keep going because you bought 3 LD shafts and those cost a pretty penny!

And lose the attitude to other people trying to help you. I dont know if you are a A+ or a C- player but a person analyzing your stroke can be more helpful than you just THINKING about whats wrong. Or get a camera and try to analyze yourself. But i doubt that will work (basing your intelligence from the ignorant comment which ill talk about now)

With regards to your comment on Allison Fisher. Really? For this game really it shouldnt be about man or woman. This isnt a strength game by any means, its finesse. You cannot tell me one disadvantage a woman player has over a man player. Ignorant comments like that is not helping bring women any more equal to man. As long as a women thinks shes worse than a man how can they ask for equal rights!
 
Whicked funny stuff, Jen. I have some more questions though.

Were you playing in a non-smoking room?

Was there an APA league session going on? Did someone sandbag against you? Or did you sandbag them?

Maybe you hustled them? Were you proud of it?
 
you ain't said nothin yet. were you shootin' with a $200 production or a $2000 custom. 'cause that'll change everything - hell might even knock the earth off it's axis:D
