The newest “Searing” on the planet!!!!

Searing ! ! !

Great looking cue. I'm sure it's already been said but love the SEARING in the hoppe ring and that ring-work is a really nice touch. Dan

My new Searing

I want to publicly acknowledge Dennis for this incredible cue. It wasn't until my son posted these pics that I realized those weren't "dots" in the diamonds - they are tiny burl diamonds. They are so small I thought they were dots!!! Dennis, you are the "King of Precision".

Tremendous cue. The reality of waiting for a cue form Dennis is that you know no detail has been overlooked. The engineering and technology that goes into this cue goes well beyond what would be deemed as acceptable by the finest of cuemakers.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

Amazing cue!

Congrats on receiving the ultimate playing instrument...you are now the envy of the entire forum :D

Seriously though..that is a one beautiful cue and I hope you enjoy using it for many years.

Thanks for sharing,

Jeremy

PS: can you please clean the rubber bumper..geez...j/k

Well, the neat thing about the bumper is that it pops out very easily. The cue is really a bumperless Hoppe with a temporary bumper that can be inserted when playing.

Precision at its finest

Just a beauty & pure precision at its finest

Congrats ! Thanks for sharing !

So, how does it play?.. :)

Well, it is a SEARING and that's about all I need to say. Seriously, I have collected about 150 cues in the last 8-9 years and this is far and away the best playing cue I have ever owned. Dennis has a t-shirt that reads something like this -

"Searing Precision Cues - every one has that elf-in magic" and this one is no exception.

I was hoping about a more detailed description, kind like your thoughts on the hit characteristics of the cue, most of us will never get a chance to play with one and we are curious as expected.. :)
Enjoy the cue!!

Petrol,

I really don't know how to describe the hit/playability of this cue. First of all, I am not a great player. I can play almost as well with an old house cue as with a custom. I had been playing with a Bobby Hunter that I liked a lot. I think it is a question of balance. The Searing is like it is not there almost. Not forward weighted nor butt heavy. It just rests there, responds to your stroke, and strikes pure. I do recall a Southwest I had that I couldn't sell fast enough. It felt like a club!!

Hope that helps.

Bob,

I really enjoyed seeing the Searing cue (and you) last month at the ICCS in Atlanta.

As you have said, the cue is simply stunning.
Great choice of woods, precision-built, a pleasure to view, and a real joy to shoot with.

It is hard to improve upon that mixture......magical.

Thanks for sharing the great pictures.

Take care,

Will Prout

Usually one can refer to cue dimensions and materials used for joint, ferrules, tips etc.
Then you can try to describe hit in terms of stiffness, deflection, energy, spin applied, etc.
Anyway, a new cue needs some time in order to be evaluated and hit evaluation is above all personal.
Thanks for your time.

ohhh look what I've found in the photo album of my last trip to the US ... WIP : a buttcap with double silver rings , hope ring, 3 joint protectors with double silver rings ...
